New merchants do not work

Description: New merchants at Mek-Kamoses spire do not work. It is not possible to trade Kurak’s severed head or blood crystals for caches. This is the third day of them not working. I finished Kurak’s dungeon on the evening age of sorcery chapter 3 came out, and these merchants have not functioned once during that time.

Bug reproduction: Attempt to trade Kurak’s head or blood crystals for caches at Mek-kamoses spire.

I have the same problem.

Could someone confirm if it’s just those merchants? I accessed some merchants for the caravans at Sepermeru near the prison. I wanted to purchase “Sandles of the Mad Prophet” with obolus coins, and I was getting the same response. My server is not official, so I didn’t know if it was my own server or not and would be interested in hearing if others have issues with some of the other merchants.

Same problem, also with a golem master Huang.

Personally I have been able to use the Obolus merchants normally, but I have heard people have issues with them.

The magi cache merchants however have not worked even once.

Two of the caravan traders didn’t work for me. My server is not official, playing by steam and no mods at all. It was late I didn’t restart the server, I will try again today.

Same issue shown above. Merchant’s won’t allow me to trade blood crystals or obulous coins for anything even though I have more than enough and the option to purchase is available to select. I have not attempted merchant’s who trade for silver or gold coins.

I’m playing on PC through Steam on a rented / private G-portal server. I have restarted the server several times with no luck.

I think the merchants are greedy, they want more obulus!! :stuck_out_tongue:

the only thing you can buy in caravans or in mek-kamoses are bench minions or warriors, the other vendors are not selling

I noticed this too. I banged on the buy several times in frustration. It didn’t help. :frowning:

I have the exact same problem, can’t turn in Kurak’s head or buy stuff from the other merchants either. This is on a privale G-Portal server. I’ve heard it’s fine in single player (though haven’t confirmed this).

Has this bug been acknowledged yet by Funcom?

I validated my game files, no effect.

Same problem here. Gportal private server. We can’t pay with the Kirak’s head or buy with obols from the others new merchants.

Update: the problem still persists. I cannot access the Khitan exiled trader merchants at Mek-Kamoses spire. These merchants have worked 0 times since the Age of sorcery 3 update launched.

Its rather annoying spending 20 minutes of my playtime regularly just to check that these merchants still don’t work.

A week into chapter 3 and still the same issue as well; Unable to make purchases from vendors in game with blood crystals, ancient obulus, or gold / silver coins. Pretty much every in game merchant is broken from what i can tell.

It would be really nice if we could at least get some word that this bug is being acknowledged and looked into.

This issue doesn’t really effect their bazaar revenue. That is the most important thing for them to focus on right now. They put all their marbles in one basket and that basket has holes.

I believe (and hope) that the bazaar is generating far less income than the original DLC packs were and someone’s department is sweatting blood, trying to salvage it.

Staff that work on new content have obviously been pulled to pump out bazaar goods and there just isn’t enough to work on QC for new core content releases, testing and bug fixing.

When new releases have more bugs than the features added, it paints a pretty clear picture. Heck, when I used to be a regular Test-Live tester, a few years ago, there were less bugs in the test code than are putting out in live releases now. So incredibly sloppy and embarrasing. When I worked in IT, code releases this buggy would completely bury a new product and most likely the company. Tencent buying Funcom has been a disaster.

update: the merchants still don’t work.

“this issue doesnt effect their bazaar revenue”, yea well, if people aren’t giving them negative reviews it doesn’t. I suggest you do.

Update: the new patch has resolved this issue
