Two nights ago after reset I logged in and could not see any map markers for any POIs, my maps are completely devoid of markers except my bedrolls/beds. It also doesn’t show where my death locations are, and I’m guessing thats somehow tied into the Summon Corpse spell, cause it will say I have no corpse to summon now.

Same problem for me 6 days a go, i already send mail but no answer for now… u_u … when u are in game press “ESC” and check if bottom left it says “Offline Mode”.
Besides the automated response there is no answer. The report get’s put on a list, that is being worked down. The “Offline Mode” is most likely Funcom Live Services. As long as you logged in at startup, visible before you load or join a game, all should be fine with that.
Sorry but thats not correct, at start up it says “Logged in as XXXXX”, but if in game it says “Offline Mode” that mean you cant synchronize your account with funcom servers, thats why all the map is empty except the bed and all thats stuff…
Then how come one can build Bazaar stuff, use twitch drops, all while being shown that in game?
Dont know, i dont use any of that… maybe those are server sided stuff.
When Live Services are unresponsive, that initial login fails and none of that can be used. That should not be responsible for missing map/death markers. Related posts for that:

There are ““2 logins”” (I really don’t know how to say it) in the game when you start before playing “Online/Offline” if you don’t have an internet connection they don’t allow you to enter the lobby “Online”.The second is once you are playing the game (sync)… otherwise it cannot be “Offline Mode” in the game “Online” =/… It took me 3 days to read all kinds of forums but the AI finally came to that final answer: There is nothing I can do, only Funcom has to unlink and re-link my account to sync it again u_u
I ended up recreating character. Unfortunate but that was the only solution

Same issue for me. Already reported it. Recreating character only works temporarily. It’ll bug out again. At least it has for two people on the server I’m on. 
I have the same issue. Can’t summon corpse. I was killed offline and then it seemed to stop working. Not sure if that was a coincidence, but this is game breaking for me. This is the only way to move around without getting discovered and foundation wiped on my PvP server unless I want to play a running simulator.
same issue happened this weekend; died from a fall and respawned with ALL discovered location icons gone and no corpse to recall.
official server 1502 with two dedicated years in it.
so that is it the offline mode means, wtf didint needed to sumom the corpse till now, but after the last patch my markers disappeared too. Atm im running naked with cheap tools and just bulding a side base on sipath because the game stills unstable.
Same problem, no map discoverys and markers, not possible to recall corpse on cyrcle of power. Out of 4 chars on 4 different servers, two chars are effected. Both chars are from exiled lands on servers that didnt get merge. One char that is older than 1 year is on official servers exile lands and one from privat server exiled land created in March this year.
I think yes… maybe they take to “Offline mode” to get better ping and maaaaybe the data loss of the map and those “little” things was a colateral damage 
this is how my map looks now. My PC crashed while on Siptah fighting in a black hand camp. When i restarted the PC and logged back in I was naked in the EL desert. I ran home (maproom an portal) and wanted to summon my corpse but it said I did not have any corpses. I went to my Siptah base and tried summoning there same thing. I grabbed a horse and thrall and moved to where I crashed and my corpse was there and I was able to loot it. I do not get any map markers back except my bedroll and where my follower is.
Logging of and going to another server all the markers on that server (also official) are there.
Recreating my character is not an option, I have years on that server.

Well… happen same to all of us… i can help u if u are in Exiles Land, i can create a character in your server, add me in your clan, then reset your character and i add u back in the clan, then i leave =)
don’t recreate. hopefully monthly bug fix will take care of things
