After the chapter 4 update, using gas arrows and bombs during a level 10 purge crashes the server.
I reported this during beta, the same actions were crashing the singleplayer client, which then gave the error: - FExternalDeferredActionQueue: Trying to enqueue to a full queue - which sounds like an overflow?

Here’s a video that ends with the crash in beta. Today it hung up the action for about 10 seconds, then disconnected me. When i went to login the server was down. At time of this writing 1511 is still down.
Yep. Some lag but has run fine throughout age of war. Roughly half strength, half agi. There’s video on my yt channel of it. When i experienced this issue on beta i had 22 archers up.
Happy people. They start a level 10 level Purge and drop the server!
I can just stand still, fall through the floor of my base. Or ride a horse for a bit. One on the official server. And he will fall too.
Just to experiment, I removed 35 archers from the purge (leaving about 65). I started a purge, latency was a bit better, then I fired a gas arrow … boom, server goes down immediately.

It happens on a dedicated rented server aswell as on a private coop game.
Higher level purges tend to crash more often than lower ones (level 7-10 nearlly always crash). Removing burning siege cauldrons or changing location change nothing. Same outcome.
Same happens for me. Single player, maybe 7-8 archers, no archer posts. I have a maze staircase with 4 regular siege cauldrons over it. I shoot gas arrows, my archers shoot the enemies, and I get the same error. I can sometimes finish lvl 6 purges. 7 and over it always happens. Never happened on lvl 1 purge, tested 2 days ago. Idk if it matters but my castle is located just below Godsclaw passage on the cliffside, the enemies spawn east of that, where boars spawn naturally.
Still happening. Some purges still crash on their own, but i can get through a purge sometimes by not firing gas arrows/orbs into concentrations of npcs at a chokepoint.
Basically the one tactic everyone has promoted to fight a purge is the problem that guarantees a server crash. I’ve got several videos up about it, sent log files to the dev team.
7700 hours in and I don’t know how long I am for this game.
I am having the same issues on 1818 since the patch on a lvl 9 purge. I have tried just firing only arrows (no area of effect arrows or bombs) and still it crashes.
i have even just sat there watching and still crashes and kicks me with a “high ping” even though i normally run at 50-60 on this server.
no response at all from funcom devs yet
any suggestions? i tried turning graphics to lowest but turning down graphics didnt work

I tend to get by when I do similar, I just fire star metal arrows. It still crashes on occasion but over time the results are better. I think when a purge crashes entirely on it’s own it’s because the npcs are too tightly compacted in an area, maybe open up some choke points?
It’s entirely a server-side issue, we’re just playing the game with the tools given. I had the same issue in beta single player and it was an overflow error then … yeah i’ve been reporting this since beta lol.
The 1003 PVE server in Europe is down at the moment, due to activating purge, it almost certainly happens if you activate a purge of 7 or higher, the server goes down, and players connect begging others not to activate their purges.
Still happening. The only way I can avoid server crashes is to play without all the tools at hand (gas orbs, arrows). I could post yet another video of it, or send more logs, but it seems common enough that most are aware.
