PC Crashes and Restarts if I visit # Sepermeru, City of the Relic Hunters

Bug Description:

PC hard crashes and restarts if I visit Sepermeru.


Bug Reproduction:

If I visit Sepermeru my pc locks up and then restarts.

This is the only game that I have any issues with.
Gigabyte Aorus Z390, I9 9900KF, RTX 2080ti, 4x16 DDR4 3200, Windows 10/11
2 TB nVme (1tb x2 Raid 0), SSD, and 2 HDDs

I have tried a fresh install of Windows 10 & Windows 11, with a fresh install of Conan Exiles on each of the above listed storage drives. I have tried with mods, without mods, private and public servers, with co-op and without co-op enabled.

I have disabled ALL overclocking, including XMP, I have played with the power settings and even rewired some of my additional peripherals in an attempt to load balance.

I am at my wits end. I love this game and miss being able to play.

You said you disabled all overclocking, did you by any chance try actively downclocking your GPU by ~30 -ish Mhz? With something like afterburner etc.

Power settings should just be on high performance for gaming all the time anyway, no need to mess with those.

Conan really does not like undervolting. After this update, my working UV (at -80 mV) does not work anymore. Game says device lost, done.

Any stress test? Easy. Borderlands 3 no problem! Conan? Na’ahh man, we don’t do this here


I had something similar happen to me. I went to Sepermeru today and upon trying to enter the city, my pc locked up but it didn’t automatically restart. I had to do that to on my own. I normally do a chest run in Sepermeru but not if it’s going to crash my system.

At this moment I believe I solved my issue.

I do not know how or why this may have been the cause, but I went from 2 separate 8-pin connectors from my PSU to my GPU to single connector that has 2 8-pin plugs on it.

Since doing this I have not had any issues or crashes.

I am running an i7 11th Gen Intel Core I7 11700KF , 3.60GHz processor and 32G of Ram. The game shouldn’t be freezing up at all and I had no issues before the Chapter 2 update.

  1. Have you tried to update the PC drivers?
  2. Have you tried any workaround while in Sepermeru to avoid the crash?
  3. Can you share the exact spot where the crash happens?

PC drivers are up to date. I haven’t tried going back to Sepermeru because when I logged back in it put me in a different spot in the city altogether. I entered through the first entrance ( where the rhinos are) and took a right passing by the three thralls talking. One was standing, the other two kneeling. I was making my way towards the first chest I check (the one where the ghosts are) then my pc froze up and I had to restart my system.
