Could Funcom please, please make the new blacksmith bench an advanced bench? I have just turned level 60, bought the bench and now it’s pretty much useless to me.
I know a lot of people won’t buy it, knowing that it’s only a tier one bench. If you look through some of the post in this forum and it will confirm what I’m saying. I feel a little cheated to be honest. And this is coming from someone who has purchased at least 90% of the store items (Xbox) please change it or add the option to have both maybe?!
I’d like to hear what others think on this matter.

They could make it a skin for any bench. That not being possible, obviously it should be a high tier bench. The improved version in the least. We all keep one of those because of illusion.

That’s what I was thinking. But I can’t imagine it will be too hard to recode it to either be an advanced one or even put both tiers into the crafting list.
It would not be hard, and I suspect this is an oversight. It is a beautiful bench and for its size should at least be the advanced bench.

I’m glad I saw this topic because I was going to buy the set. But for a T1 bench, no way. Their idea might be RP of sorts. Place the bench, dress a fighter, put him on the working iron emote and that’s that.

I feel like a lot of people won’t buy it now. They must’ve known. Most people rush to level 60 for starmetal weapons and try and stay on tier one for a short of a time as possible lol
I only bought it because it’s Aesir themed. All my thralls (combat and workers) are either Aesir or Children of the North. As I’m running several blacksmiths for various purposes, the new bench lets me run one of the spares. However, like OP, for the size of its footprint (and price), it could have at least had the option to be an Improved bench.

I don’t even care about crafted weapons now. It’s straight for legendaries. Blacksmiths are mostly worthless for me at this point. Good to make tools and fittings, the later on the tinkerer’s bench. I’m not going to reward such a crappy move by giving them money for a bench I mostly don’t even use. What was I thinking?.. Old habits.

Anct Lemurian is still valid. Especially the axe since it’s so easy to learn on EL and one of the few axes that has AP. It’s pretty comparable to the AP legendary axes.

250 stone plus 50 bars is a T1 crafting station.
If anything, they should probably remove functionality and make it appearance only.

I wasn’t disputing the cost. I knew straight away. I’m happy to pay the cost of the improved. Plus I thinks it just makes more sense. Its a bench you can use the whole play through.

Yeah, the T1 and T2 benches are the same footprint. There’s no way I’ll buy this just to display it.

Dude… it was quite a bit of money, just to pay out for another bench later on down the line. And if that is the case. Then I feel robbed and would like my money back to save for the higher tier one lmao
