I can place the priest in the world but they do not interact with the god Alters.

Yeah they’ll eventually make it over to them, after they spend hours eating and sleeping. Only weird thing is they go and worship at any alters you have not just the specific god they’re a priest of, pretty strange watching my Archpriest of Mitra worshiping at the Set alter.
“Worshipping” at the Set altar…
You may want to send your least-liked thrall to clean the altar after the priest leaves.

Really? They’re definitely supposed to show up in the crafting slot. could be a bug, are you on single player or official server? if single player got any mods running?

Ah, that might have something to do with it. Also the priest you have is a worshiper of the alter you have right. Even tho they worship at all alters only matching religions will register, so a priest of Mitra will only show up in the thrall slot of a Mitra alter.
