Question about our thralls that just leveled to 10

I personally prefer Quake over Momentum
Momentum gives sunder only with HA , Quake gives it all the time and because of that I feel like I give more dmg

Well, war party has been bugging out a lot. More often than not, given enough time, you’ll have one of the thralls becoming unresponsive. It’s lethal to them if it happens in the wrong place. Needs urgent fixing too. It’s very fun playing with two thralls, one stunning with a fast atrack weapon and the other punishing them hard. But they are very dumb to coordinate themselves and you end up with them always attacking different targets instead of combining forces…this if one doesn’t completely forget about the fight.

So I , because I have been playing conan for a long time “I do not need to play at all costs” - I just turn on the game and play , when the server starts to show signs of overload so I stop fighting and either go farm something or turn off the game.
So the combination of Lianelle (with mace) and Zerker (with two-handed sword) works quite well for me.
But it’s true that I’ve also noticed a change in AI behavior , it used to go into something like turn mode ä when overloaded or shut down both thralls completely . Now it shuts down one which is dangerous but outside of the purge it’s manageable - still applies that both of my thralls can handle SOLO common world bosses , or have 4k HP+ so I have time to quickly retreat so they teleport out of the fight to me.

I don’t know about now but there was a period of time when str based dancers with a 1h mace were absolutely deadly. I leveled some on Siptah and was pleasantly surprised. Been a while though.

Hey @Wanderlust it’s really up to you what you do… but in your other threads other people and myself as well linked the guide I wrote on thralls…
That guide is fully up to date, I literally made it a few weeks ago and it’s based on factual information from the actual source code of the game… so it’s going to be the most correct information you can find atm… why not read the thing? lol… I’m just wondering cuz you keep making threads asking questions that are already detailed there :man_shrugging: so it makes me wonder why would anyone spend hours making threads just to avoid a 10 minute read?

I expect the mace hyper armor to get “fixed” so it will no longer be the weapon of choice (since it appears to be the only one that can avoid stun lock and therefore on oversight). If my assumption is right, where does that leave thralls in general?

(sorry @Wanderlust if this seems like a derail but it is important to discuss here because the mace question)

What’s going on?

(Almost) all t4 dancers have 1,6 x dmg multiplier which is more than many fighters have and Lianelle has top HP of all , even better than those from the purges.

THANK YOU!!!
I really hope @den will read this!
New player feedback it’s really important, we don’t have god thralls anymore so we don’t need rng to our thralls growth anymore, it’s pointless and frustrating.

Thank a million for this feedback @Wanderlust

My reaction to @Keldy 's post is because Lianeele can be quite a rare find. I remember once when it took me months to catch one! It was meant as a joke.

:joy: See my post just above, @Keldy .
My reaction has nothing to do with her fighting abilities.:blush:

Let the guy talk, @Xevyr . Your guide is awesome, but sharing experiences with other players is also invaluable. You said yourself that the conditions in which the thralls will be under may affect their performance (platform, server, server load, etc). We all play under both similar and different conditions. It’s good for @Wanderlust to be prepared for different scenarios, having both the information your guide contains plus the insight of other players. Both have their role in learning the game.

Did I ever say he shouldn’t talk? :man_shrugging:
I feel like your post was completely unnecessary… I was mainly wondering why he’s asking the exact same things that are explained in an objective fashion (like the use of shields etc.), since had they read it, they would simply know and not need to ask.
It was a legit question, since people have linked it to them multiple times so it’s normal that I’m curious why would they be avoiding it… in case there’s something wrong with it for example (like how the table of contents was bugged out for a while due to a forum update but I fixed that) etc.

How do you know he hasn’t read your guide yet, @Xevyr ? The input other players are giving him is the result of their experiences and that goes beyond any stactic written guide. I didn’t mean to offend you. Did I sound harsh? I didn’t want to sound like you were trying to silence him in any way!
It was a “let him talk” in the most friendlly, well intended manner possible. Cultural barrier, maybe?

Edit- you know I think your guide is the best resource on thralls in the web, right? I’m not dissing it or you. You did us all a favor by putting it together. I want that to be crystal clear.

Because he literally asked questions that are straight up answered in there and aren’t “subjective” to require “anecdotal player input” I am 100% certain he hasn’t read it, at least not the whole thing.

That really depends… sometimes the input they’re getting is just straight up incorrect :man_shrugging: while recommendations and anecdotal info about what players tried can be really useful… when it comes to factual things regarding how things work… there is only one correct answer and that might not necessarily align with the anecdotal perceptions of individuals.

(on top of this the conan community is riddled with various factually incorrect myths so misinformation is way more common than it should be)

It did seem a bit like you were unnecessarily calling me out for somehow trying to “silence” people from asking questions, when that was absolutely not the case.
In fact I made a point to specify that they are absolutely free to do as they wish, I am merely curious about it. That’s why I said your post seemed unnecessary.

While on a different note, it’s not the coolest thing imo to try and use forums as your personal google search, especially for things that have already been provided to you, there are always people who will reply in some capacity and don’t mind repeating the same thing for the 100th time. In fact I often do that too.
In this case however it wasn’t that… I was merely curious as it genuinely seemed like they’re struggling with some questions that the guide I made would’ve answered in the first place, so I was trying to save them the trouble of having to make more posts and then wait for replies on those.

That’s why I think it would’ve been beneficial for them to read it first  They can still ask questions or debate stuff afterwards or ask people about their opinion / discuss them etc, but it would at least give them a pretty good starting point.
And no, I don’t believe they HAVE to read it if they don’t want to… that’s why I said it’s ultimately up to them what they do :man_shrugging:

As an example, it’s factual that the lWar Party perk allows you to have two thralls in combat. It’s anecdotal that often one of them becomes irresponsive. So, it’s better to be prepared for that scenario, just in case.

The guide details how things should be, with the caveat that sometimes the game acts up. Players’ input adds a lot in that department. In a certain way, you might say the guide, yours, the wiki, etc., do a tremendous job explaining how the game should be, while players are best describing how things truly are in practice. Combine both, and you get a very good picture of the whole thing.

Anyway, this is tangential to the discussion. Sorry if I offended you. It wasn’t my intention in the least. Of course reading your guide is helpful. That was never in question.

Lianelle is only hard to find when you’re looking for her
The first one I “hunted” for about a week , after Rockslide killed her I waited almost 14 days for the second one …
and then during my travels around “her” place I captured 4 in a few days, chose the best “trainable” one and still have one in “reserve”
Lianelle is a great fighter but I have to admit that I “pick” the battles I take her to , the purges have been off-limit for her from the start (except for the low tier ones when I wanted a barmaid).
As you say , it’s a shame to lose her but I can safely say that apart from purges or the “holy trinity” (Thaag,AC,Rockslide) I don’t have to worry about her

Ain’t that the truth?
This time I got her from a high level purge.
Once I spent months without seeing her.

Of course. That’s playing the game well, with good reasoning.
I also like to take dancers around, knowing not all battles are meant for them.

This one is loathe to use War Party.
It has been… quirky… for awhile.

While a two warrior solution is better, meeting number with numbers, it’s still not necessarily a safe bet.
This one has seen okish results with a Maul and Mace, Hammerime, style party, just due to hyper armour and AoE, but even that was extremely dicy.

But we all must acknowledge that we aren’t discussing what option is good. The greatest merit we can offer is which option fails least.

Xevyr, thank you so much for tactfully reminding this numbskull about such a great resource! In so many other forums I’d either be ignored or attacked for being an idiot.

The first time it was linked to me, I followed the link and wound up in the middle of a thread about it and could not figure out the context and promised myself I would come back and read the guide itself but by the time I had another question, I forgot about it. I will not ask another question until I’ve read it from start to finish.

But I won’t promise not to ask about something I already read. I know better.

Thanks mate
