Reiterating old report; Sacrificial Stone's Soul Drain animation timing is off

Bug Description:

A reiteration of an old report that someone (not me) made, because it’s nearing a year ago since it started.
Sacrificial Stone bug
Basically, the Sacrificial Stone bench’s “Soul Drain” process has an animation bug.
It starts the process by moving the player in place and making the player run its part in the animation, but doesn’t let the bench’s animation begin until the player’s animation (and therefore the process itself) finishes, and this animation will continue until the bench appears with the desiccated corpse as expected.
I remember the animation used to work beautifully for a short window, but there was a separate bug that wouldn’t let the player start the process when the bench thought the player was too far away. After that got fixed, the animation never matched up again. Guessing some milestone keyframes got accidentally misplaced on the player’s animation when their failing start got fixed, which messed up the bench’s timing.

Bug Reproduction:

Input a capture to the Sacrificial Stone.
Select Soul Drain.
Observe player animation finish, and green wisps appear ~8 seconds after player is done and free to move around.
