Bug Description:
Tapestry of Remembrances need to be revisited. There are 12 in the admin panel, and 12 that can be crafted on the artisan bench. 2 of the 12, are duplicates with one being larger than the other. There is 1 entire tapestry panel of artwork, that is missing and not a craftable tapestry. This means that the entire story of the battle pass artwork of Age of War is incomplete. One tapestry has the artwork cut off too short, leaving out the Stygian General showing how the agent returned to report his findings to the general, prompting the mounted attack on the Exiled Camp Leaders. Each tapestry has the exact same Name, and the exact same Item Description. Making it difficult to determine which one is which. Item descriptions should include the Battle Pass Text Storyline that coincides with the artwork on the tapestry as it did in the battle pass. Item names should be more along the lines of “Age of War chapter 1” “Age of War Chapter 2”. This way, people who did not play the Age of War can make these tapestries and have the story told to them easily so they do not miss the lore. Furthermore, all Rem Taps are of the Age of War. There are none for the Age of Sorcery. Age of Sorcery Tapestries should be created to commemorate that First Age.
I assume you’ve also reported to helpshift?
(I’ll add it to the list - list update should be out tomorrow. Also - this report is already on the list, but I’ll add this seperately, since it is a different overall point.)
^ This next section has the beginning cut off, in the Age of War Ch 2 Recap video from Funcom at Minute 1:14, we can see a Stygian General. He is missing from the Tapestry. End of Chapter 2.
^ This begins the Age of War Ch3 of the story and the Tapestries. There are two copies of this art panel, one longer than the other but both are craftable and in the admin - this still makes the total Tapestries 12.
^ Continuing Ch3, this next piece in the storyline is much harder to place than the other tapestries, but because it does not a “different” item name I can’t tell you what it is.
^ Now we are missing the ENTIRE BATTLE OF THE EXILED AGAINST THE STYGIAN LEGION. On the Funcom Youtube channel, they have the video for the AoW Ch 3 Recap and at the 1:12min mark is artwork that is not a craftable tapestry. So a whole section of lore is missing. This is what end the AoW Ch 3.
Sorry, no. I just had to add a bunch more context with photos and I’m tired and not really in the mood to re-do all of it lol. No offense, it’s just a lot for Funcom to ask to report twice on two different platforms. I know you’re super invested in the bug reports, so I’m not annoyed at you AT ALL. Just kinda peeved to have to re-do it.
^ Item descriptions are all the saem, no mention of the Lore or the Storyline of the Age of War for each of the Tapestries. The Age of War Battle Passes had story/lore that went with the artwork. To a New Player, no one would know what order they go in or what they mean. Each Tapestry should tell the story that coincides with the Funcom AoW Recap videos on their Youtube channel.
We never got the Remembrance Tapestries for the Age of Sorcery; they should be implemented into the game - FREE OF CHARGE. I suggest FREE because the AoS was 3yrs ago.
What I suggested above for the Item name changes and the item description changes in the AoW tapestries should also be applied to the Age of Sorcery Tapestries.
Fair enough, I get you’re tired and not in the mood. What I will say is that reporting on Helpshift is so that the Inflexion devs can see it, since they are the ones working on the game - there’s no guarantee they will ever see it if it is only here. To be frank - Funcom isn’t asking for it to be posted in two places - Funcom/Inflexion is asking for it to be posted in one place - Helpshift (I’m the one asking for you to post it here as well, so that our list can be as thorough as possible…).
Given how much work you have done clarifying what is wrong, I’d suggest (at some point when you’re less tired) copy/pasting the text from your initial report into Helpshift and adding a link directly to the post with all the pictures with a simple note like “This forum post shows the issues in greater detail with pictures”. That way the work you’ve done should not be wasted and, hopefully, the devs can quickly flick open this thread and see for themselves. (If you really don’t want to do it, let me know and I’ll do it - I just feel you should get the credit, having done all the work.)
Well said. Not that anyone cares; it’s just that I’m a SAHM, and I spent my toddler’s whole nap making this post when I could have been playing the game lol.
I’ve known about this issue for a couple of years, but what made me revisit it was @Khaletohep’s thread about the Giant Kings and our discussion with Tatyana about missing story. I brought up this whole topic about the Age of Sorcery and the Age of War being a “You just had to be there” kind of nostalgia, but there was no surviving record of it for people who came after.
So yeah anyway, I could technically do a new helpcenter report but I’d have to find myself in another moment of my life when I either need to use the naptime as me time/ Conan time or tackling other home tasks that need to be done.
Not complaining about my life or anything, and I love this game!
I never want to throw my Bug Reports onto someone else. However, Dan, you’ve been very committed to these reports being properly filed and sent to Inflexion, and so, if you’d be willing to Quote my post via a link to the HelpCenter, then you have my support.
I do not often report bugs, because other more diligent players get to them before me, but when something like comes up and it’s not cataloged and I have the time to do it; then I’m happy to do so.
I don’t mind doing it - at least for bugs that I can understand (and reproduce if necessary). I can’t do it for a lot of server-only bugs (or bazaar items), because I don’t have the option of direct knowledge, but I’m happy to do it for something like this.
I’m glad to see this one - I couldn’t have put it all together (at least not without a lot of work). I got all the tapestries when they came out, stuck them on walls in random order and never really examined them for story (because I felt like I knew the story anyway…), but having the option to go back and properly revisit it some time in the future would be far better.
I made a Dutch Oven roasted whole chicken, threw the cut potatoes in with some carrots at the last hour and took the lid off. Chicken skin on top came out crispy and divine! Whipped up some stuffing (from the box) and homemade gravy from the drippings and awwwwayeeeah
The tapestries are great (besides the missing pieces and weird size differences). Just hung some in a banquet hall in a base; looks great. But they’re reeeeeeally tiny, and far from large enough to enjoy the artwork, at least for my fuzzy eyes.
Should be used more imho, maybe as loading screens? I mean, they’ve commissioned some great artworks, and they’re just collecting dust somewhere.
They need to be well lit to have the detail show, in my test images i just set the Daytime to High Noon so they can be can be seen. However, in a base where the daylight always changes, you’d need to have them hang below a lamp or wall torch to be able to enjoy them, and even then the detail is fuzzy. I like how I can see the linen texture, but that texture can overpower the images quite a bit depending on lighting.
There’s also some difficulty with placement; it seems some of them do not like being too close to anything, so lining them up aesthetically in a row side to side or top to bottom can take some patience to get them perfect. The Long ones really need wall space (2 wall panels plus wiggle room). So if they could adjust the placement restrictions on these, it’d make hanging and displaying them one above the other a lot nicer on us. I think it’s safe to say most people won’t display them in a long line like this, although you could if you had a long hallway, but in my playtest photo it seems it took around 21 Wall pieces to fit them all, so that’s huge.
