Rest in peace. Phenomenal acting in Conan the Barbarian. I even recognized his voice as a 9yo watching Lion King in theatres.
ya sad about it, i was about to post the same thing but yours came first
do hope funcom makes this armor set to commemorate thulsa doom , and hopefully inmortalize him in the game with a npc. or somehing.
I would like a large statue of him with a giant snake wrapped around him like it’s protecting him.
Damn
I also loved him as Jaffe Joffer in “Coming to America” and the NSA agent (forgot the name) in “Sneakers”. The latter might not be an extensive role or a very well-known one, but it’s very dear to my heart. In the age where Hollywood was cashing in on the mystique of computers by showing “hacking” through lurid CGI and idiotic technobabble, that was one movie that managed to be awesome without straying more than a tiny bit from reality.
He may be more well-known for all his other big name roles, but I will always remember him as General James Solomon from Command & Conquer: Tiberian Sun.
JEJ had one of my favorite depictions of a Sergeant Major in “Gardens of Stone”. It had definitely reminded me of some experiences I’ve had with Sergeants Major.
Our Thulsa Doom will be sorely missed.
I was going to come on a post when I confirmed.
I think the the best thing they could do is make the stygian commander of the siege look like JE Jones character. You can’t do “Thulsa Doom” but you can snag the image of him.
a statue as it was mentioned above couuld be good,
I really want the armour and his bathrobe
What a loss.
A spell to turn into a snake please.
How about a new snake skin like the yellow one that was available from the battle pass but colour it like the snake that Thulsa Doom was.
This is such sad news for me. He has had some truly amazing works over the years. Conan the Barbarian, Darth Vader (I am a big fan of Star Wars). But as way of a tribute, I thought I would post a scene from one of his lesser roles, but still one of his best. For those who have studied Martial Arts such as myself, he had a phenomenal role as coach Frank Couzo in Best of the Best.
I wonder if @MarcosC and @Pugilist have had the pleasure of watching this one.
@Croms_Faithful , I did see this, many years back.
I loved his range of work, including Field of Dreams and By Dawn’s Early Light.
He will be missed.
A great actor with an unmistakable face (and voice)
I’ll miss him.
Rest in peace
