Hello you wonderful people and thanks for looking at my thread in the first place, you’re already appreciated.
For the problem, and I’m sorry I can’t word this any better, but my gaming experience is overall a jerky one, with NPCs not being where they appear to be, clipping through objects, moving sideways like crabs and so on. Foes that seem to be attacking empty air about 100ft away from me still hit me, Thralls that appear to be standing right next to me are actually miles and miles away, their run animation when ordered to move somewhere is clonky at best, and often looks like rubberbanding.
This problem only occurs on the Steam version of the game, no issues at all when I launch the xbox game pass included one, and only in online games, both on official servers and private ones with and without battleEye protection.
And only on my setup, which consists of a ryzen 7 5700g and an rtx 3060ti.
Steps I have taken so far include:
Clean installation of the game.
Switching to a different network card (realtek to intel)
Reverting to an older display driver
Formatting C:\ and re-installing windows 10 from scratch (Yes, I went there)
Upgrading said fresh Windows 10 installation to Windows 11
Manually setting the network adapter to force full duplex and a few related settings like disabling eco mode.
Other PCs in my household don’t seem to have these issues, so I don’t think it’s related to the internet connection or routing.
At this point, I’m out of ideas and grateful for virtually any advice or new ideas.
