Ok so I am trying to run through the entire Sacred Hunt Event at least once before it is gone in a couple of days. I have killed the 3 champions, crafted the Grand Champion Lure and killed the Werebear for the first time around. I am now trying to summon the werehyena under Al Merayah. I obtained the knowledge of Xil the Wanderer. So how and where do I craft a Lure Corruption to summon it? Or if not, what is the next step, where to from here?
So, and this is altogether not straightforward. The werehyena under the fortress is called using a regular lure and provides the Ancient Blood, which you use, along with the products of killing the other 3 champions, to craft the lure to call the 2nd champion to get the horn to make the werebear a pet.
Does this mean fighting the grand champion the first time is a complete waste and not necessary to the process of obtaining a werebear as a pet?
Yes.
Order to get the werebear pet:
- fight all 3 reg champions, using regular lures
- Fight the were hyena, using a regular lure, harvest ancient blood
- Craft Grand Champion lure then the Malodorous Lure, using the Grand Champion Lure and Ancient blood
- Wait 24 hours
- Fight werebear
- Get horn
- Notice the Werebear is a worse pet than the werehyena you can purchase for 250 fangs
How do you get under the fortress (Al Merayah)?
jump over the wall, drop a bomb near the door. the door is beside the big gate
I would correct Pugilist’s steps:
- Fight all 3 reg champions, using regular lures.
- Fight the Werehyena, which can be found inside al-Merayah fortress behind one door near one of the main gates, using a regular lure. Loot the blood from it’s corpse.
- Craft Grand Champion lure and then craft Malodorous Grand Champion lure from it, using the GCh lure + sacred blood, you harvested from the Werehyena champion.
- Wait 24 hours for the MGCh lure to decay, then use it as a bait inside the dungeon, kill the better Werebear and loot the horn for summoning Werebear pet from it.
Agreed, that this pet is mostly aesthetic one.
