I cant seem to find the setringnon my private server to deactivate the thrall limit or adjust it or anything.
Go on settings - last separator to the right - go all the way down to Pets and abandonment and there should be a thicked box and sliders about thralls limits and time period of removal.

It should be off by default. At least mine was.
You’re welcome!! Glad you could understand what I meant from that confusing explanation! Got some names wrong there. 
For anyone else who needs to find this setting, here’s a picture (apologies for phone quality). You just need to tick this box that says “Use Minion Population Limit” off.
@Tempestorm Mine weren’t when I launched the game in PS4 singleplayer after the update. In fact it shown me a message straight away saying I was over the followers limit and my followers would start being deleted once every 10 mins. Gave me a little heart attack, rushing to settings, finding a way to turn it off as fast as possible. 
The server I play on, I still get an empty “WARNING” box every time I log off from the server, even though it is turned off. I’m worried that the host/renter of the server will log on, see my number of pets/thralls and turn it on.
