For the most part i criticize FC on this forum, but I wanted to contribute something positive to the community for a change.
And i wanted to start with a for all your very lovely builds!
But we are not allowed to like as many posts as we want?! …
However…
Stormglas always was (and in fact still is) my most beloved building set, due to the enormous variety of building pieces.
And with the bazaar addition it has by far the largest selection of different components.
And if you want to add a bit more variety or color, you can mix it with other sets. Stormglas is black so… it matches up with most other sets pretty nicely.
The downside is i take a lot of time to finish a building with stormglas if i don’t have anything specific in my mind, and i often have to rework parts if it gets too complicated.
However, this is where the pyramid set comes into play. It definitely lacks a bunch of essential building elements (gates, fences, windows, a “normal” staircase).
But i tested it a bit and i have to say i came to appreciate it for its simplicity!
And you can use other sets to complete your pyramid.
This was my first building with that set, and of course i added a bit of stormglas.
Not much, just a bit to compensate for the lacking parts.
At the oasis i wanted to build a wheel base anyways, so i got to think if i can build a wheel base that is a war pyramid as well, including a map room.
It got clearly out of hand and wouldn’t be practical on an official PvP server, but i managed to fit everything inside. And visually i‘m really happy with the outcome.
However, i didn’t use a lot of different materials so far. After i‘ve seen one of @Eradicati0n ‘s videos, he was building a lot with the argosean and aquilonian sets lately, i thought its time to change that and build a wheel base near summoning place.
Besides some mosaics for my stormglas builds i didn’t really use them before.
I was very pleased by the results and thought now it’s time to build an actual base!
Because my main base in the volcano didn’t have enough space anymore.
When chapter 3 dropped demolishers have been able to one shot even t3 structures, so…
… i basically built that to cheese the purge anyways.
(Don’t judge me for that!)
Anyways i started to build in the jungle for a change, and that’s the result.
Needless to say i was a bit scared to place the two barkeeps, because i wasn’t sure if the tavern will work on the water. But it does!
