What Lvl Surge I need? What do I put into Altar? How many to put into Altar?

If you’re running Surges I believe it’s the focus altar for the West. As for level I don’t think it has to be a Calamity.
Alternatively if you have the coins there should be a vendor for them up North at the Castaway’s Island. (Kind of looks like a heart.)

That’s what I had seen…it was the West one. But I’ve ran it like more than a half dozen times and never saw a camel. Are those videos about eldarium and the ??? and the chaos all outdated? It’s not letting me put anything but hardened steel in the altar. I’ll check for that Vendor and hope he /she is still there. Thank you.

Camels are sold for 10 gc in Siptah. Go north to that island with all of the vendors. Right before you get into the town there is a camel vendor right there.

Like @Rust and @erjoh already told you, you buy your camel calfs for 10 gold coins from the northern island merchant.
If you place the camel on animal pen you’ll get a fighter
If you place your calf on a horse stable you’ll get the mount
