Steps
1: Kill a Sorcerer and take their skull.
2: Place the skull on your hotbar.
3: Select the skull
4: Notice the UI for placing the skull in the world no longer appears.

Did PC get a new update? Playstation I placed some early this week. If this is intentional should we save them for a new purpose? Edit just realized that you are in beta.
Have to place all my skulls before the update
