To keep it short and sweet: I propose adding a new weapon kit that can be applied to a weapon, instead of a damage kit or reinforcement kit, to make it glow in the dark, like Glimmermoon does.
Tempting if you could also apply this to tools…
I can’t support this, because glowing enchantments should be added with sorcery.
Can’t give Funcom an excuse to avoid sorcery.
I mean, why not have those kits be craftable through sorcery?
The reason I suggested a kit is because that way we don’t obsolete a bunch of legendary weapons. Sticking a luminescence kit on your Yog’s Touch means that you don’t get to improve its damage or armor penetration, whereas Glimmermoon already has an innate glow and you can improve it with other kits.
But there’s nothing in my suggestion that says this kit cannot be crafted through a new mechanic
Because kits block other kits. Enchantments should be applied differently from a kit, and probably wear off over time.
Fair enough, I understand your point
Could make it work like poison. Apply the “Luminescence Sheen” to the weapon and it wears off after a certain number or hits.
Or make it work like the Oils. Apply the “Luminescence Oil” to a weapon and it simply wears off over time
If they also add the option to hide the weapon attachments (Like they do with Weapons-On-Back) then I’d 100% be down for this. I don’t know how I’d feel about my Pictish Greatsword being even more spiky than it already is
While we’re on the topic of lit weapons, what about a buff to light arrows? Honestly, I just want the light to stay with whatever is hit. Currently, the light is fixed to the point where the arrow made contact, which makes it kinda useless.
love it, solid idea, could be a mixture of glowing goop and witchfire powder, perhaps applied like an oil does a timed countdown effect.
Glowing goop for a fading effect (IE last 10 minutes) and radium gem for a more lasting one but the radium takes up the modification slot on the item…I see Jedias getting use here.
