After I raised my tome to the first level, the option to raise it again no longer appears. I only managed to make the first improvement. I’ve reinstalled the game and the problem persists.

Did you use a yellow lotus potion at all?

Unfortunately there is a bug at the moment that stops you from learning any additional tome or Kurak spells once a yellow lotus potion has been used, hopefully it’s fixed soon 
Same thing happened to me. Wish i would have known before i used the yellow potion.
