The predatory Blade repair problem

I’ve already explained the problems. Now we just need to find a solution.

“sharpening”… my god.
So when the weapon is at 1/1500 durability a kit works fine, because it only “sharpens” it.

But suddenly its impossible, when it is at 0/1500 durability?

Just because it was always like that, doesnt mean it makes any sense, because it makes none.

The whole kits (also the master) itself makes no real sense and is a very strange game mechanic…

Why are master kits not able to repair things to 100%?
But legendary kits are able too (for legendaries). Thats not your so called “sharpening”. And also there is no consistency if one kit can repair its grade (master kit for high) only to 75% and the other kit for legendary repairs it to 100%…

Why am I not able to use a second master Kit on a 75% weapon to repair it to 100%? Or why does it only repair it to 75% anyway…

Why are you defender guys even in that thread and your ONLY argument is: it was always like that.
That is no real argument.

Thats just like how it is and people want some changes…
Be it have an UI which warns you or to repair broken ones…

I have to contradict them, you can dismantle legendary weapons.
But you can only dissect Legendary weapons found in a box.

Legendary weapons and armor that you get through enemies you can not disassemble.
It is always useful before any big fight to repair the weapon.
And the durability goes down through modifications is quite normal.

Example: A baseball bat is modified with nails, then it loses durability, the reason is the wood is split when breaking in the nails. As a result, it breaks faster when you use the baseball bat in combat.

Fight with the logic of Spock and everything will end well.
Live long and rule with logic.

Indeed it does not make sense if you see durability as a kind of “health bar” of the weapon.

As far as I’m concerned, I think that durability, once at zero, means that you let the weapon deteriorate far too much for it to be recoverable.

From this angle I do not see what is incomprehensible. Legendary weapons are no longer feasible today, otherwise they would be made instead of looking for them. It seems normal to me that from a certain degree of decay we will not be able to restore them. This is the case today with relics, works of art etc … From a certain moment if we do not take care of them they become irrecoverable.

My point exactly. And with no true way to recover/restore such said item and time spent to obtain it, then it only makes sense to wall or thrall the item and utilize Flawless high grade weapons that are easier to obtain and maintain. Unless a way is made possible to otherwise make it feasible for extreme use.

Yeah or just take care of your legendaries. I’ve some legendary weapons from months, using only these, and I don’t have broken any.

It makes sense that legendary weapons need more attention and it makes sense that we cannot repair a broken legendary weapon. I’m ok with that on both lore and gameplay sides and I didn’t had to farm a legendary weapon twice.

I feel that i have applied some constructive criticism as well. I also would rather it of been a bug rather than intentional, because we can learn ancient recipes but can’t fix broke legendary weapons. Sounds real intelligent. In the time i’ve been playing i’ve seen alot of inconsistencys in this game like loading, lag, poor thought in weight before release as well as releasing additional content that breaks the game while the game can barely handle the load as it is now. If i relied on my customers to tell me whats wrong with the buildings i’ve put together i’d be out of buisness. Yet video games do it all the time and continue to get rich from it. Why hire a person to test and make sure we are releasing quality material when we can fix this crap as we go. If i could post all the screen shot of my base half loaded or not loaded at all or how many times i’ve died to starvation and thirst and lost everything due to waiting on the loading screen to enter into the game or the fantastic graphics of falling thru the map until it loads in and the list keeps going. Mechanics or bugs? I guarantee there would be alot more pics of this than just mine. If the Mechanics are so great why are there so many people ranting about them, from EVERY PLATFORM ?Anyway this will be my last post here. Don’t wanna carry on with it. Point remains though. Till a solution comes forth to make it feasible to utilize continuous use for a Legendary weapon its no more than a thrall or wall weapon. Ty everyone for your thoughts and opinions and sorry we couldn’t find a solution past these crappy mechanics. Enjoy. By the way it took Blizzard 10 years to design Diablo 3. Once released it bombed. They then pulled it, fixed it and is still one of the most played games decades later. They must know quality material and have great game Mechanics. Lol. Don’t get me wrong i love the game itself. I even bought my own server. I just think the mechanics need a complete overhaul. I’m just thankful i didn’t buy the game itself. I picked it up free and only paid for the season passes because the mechanics would have scrapped me long ago and this game would sit with sonic in the library. So many people leaving due to its mechanics. You would think FC would want more players, not less. And to be remembered for decades as a great game designer. Not for its lag and crappy mechanics. After playing Conan, i will never purchase a FC game. After my year finishes on my server, i will delete the game and move on to a better designer. Excited about the announcement of Diablo 4 by Blizzard.

This is one of the easiest mechanics of survival in the game. Seriously, super easy. Can, and have, many times, attained legendaries and repair kits. I can easily collect 5-6 an hour off of leisure travel and killing world boss beasts. 3 gators, elephant, tiger, black rhino, and swamp rhino are an hour circuit being lazy. You can make a full circuit in the city to collect repair kits(although I get way too many armor repairs now) in less time than that. Get a good thrall and rampage. Checking durability is a second process on the wheel. No need to open inventory. Carry one or two kits (I use shields) and your set for the day. This is a non issue.

No, you should get such kit when disassembling ANY legendary weapon. I don’t like daggers, all my dancers already have legendary daggers… I’d better have a couple of such kits instead of extra weapons.

It should only be possible to make this kit with a Blacksmith from the purge. So that players make more effort in the purge.

Its not about having enough or not kits:

Its about sometimes you forget it in battle… I dont want to check all the time or waste a kit when applying way to early.

New mechanic: With XX kits you can craft an “item protector”. If placed in inventory, it will be destroyed instead of the item.
Item will get only 10% durability back and either you have a horror-sound effect or visual effect to notice, that your “item protector” protected your item.
Could also work for armor kits.

@GodsOfExiles This is easier said then done… Had my first human purge after lvl60 and only got alchmiest, armorer and an archer. This was by far the easiest purge I ever had :smiley: Was north of New Asagarth. "Vanir blabla "

You also have to work hard for Special Legendary Weapons.
And whoever builds in the wrong area can not build kits.
It is called Survive and not to get everything for free. :crazy_face:

The problem is probably, that I have build to much :smiley: Every base (except 2) are in an area where human purges can happen. Yet they never happened, until yesterday :smiley:

And these other 2 never had a purge anyway.

I would love to get more human purges.

Every week we have a purge with human.
Is your clan big or small?
We are 10 members.
I have a fighter from the volcano with 9900 HP.

Clan is mostly me :smiley: Clanmates only popup on new stuff and then disappear again slowly :smiley:
I have every 10-14 days one.

But as I said, the problem is, that most are monsters. The last monster purge didnt even come to me… Spiders attacked my mainbase. Never saw a single spider or a corpse :smiley: After 1 hour purge was done…
There are no bases near my mainbase anymore (all gone).

Where is there a fighter with 9900 hp?? Are you sure that’s a fighter? Sounds like my named Bearers.

Purge fighters have that much hp. I got an archer yesterday… Should be ready when I come home.

But they are weaker than T4 fighers from the same faction. At least for Volcano and Mounds of the dead.
Weaker = less dmg output.

Well that explains why I don’t know. I haven’t had a purge since February. Also, never. Had a purge with named thralls.
