Thrall unconscious bug

Bug Description:

Please note this is not the fall through floor bug, although solved similarly, the thralls do not fall through the ground.

Thralls disappear after being knocked out. While player is nearby.

They disappear when I turn away, or walk a certain distance away.

They come back when you walk away a certain distance away.

This started several patches ago. As mentioned this is not falling through the ground, I’ve checked using ghost. Nor are they invisible.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Knock Thrall out
  2. Look away/wall short distance away
  3. Commonly happens when fighting groups
  5. (etc)

As per OP is a Series X so it is on the installed SSD. The main SSD not external.

Zero issues with other games.

It was a install on a new console end of December. I’ve started a new SP server, losing significant progress and time spent in game in the process and the bug appeared immediately.

Reinstalling the game won’t do anything. Reinstalling, updating drivers etc never fix problems when the issue lies with the game.

Since some corpses are insta disappearing when I turn away it is most likely something to do with the clean up routine which was changed to fix performance problems months back.
