Thralls do not respect ground geometry

Bug Description:
Every time, and I do mean EVERY time I walk into my Tavern, this is what I get. Historical bug? I do not care, it is happening and I am going to report it. My deepest apologies to the veterans. I believe, however, that to keep on hammering an issue might garner more attention that not hammering at all. I would be grateful to said veterans that do not report things because they are historical, to hammer.

Keep on reporting - worst case scenario it adds another report of something that’s already on a list somewhere. But it’s also always possible even with historical bugs that either no-one properly reported it or all reports were so long ago that they’ve been lost or assumed fixed. (Also, some historical bugs have been and gone and come back, so recent reports are always useful.)

(Side note: if I ever point out something like ‘yep, that one’s been around for a while’ or ‘that’s an old one that I wasn’t aware had come back again’ - I mean exactly what I say there and no more - it’s never a criticism of someone making a proper bug report about it - I’m always in favour of seeing those, whether the bug is old or new. I’m generally just commiserating with a fellow player about a long-standing annoyance or, as with the ‘shield hand thing’ discussing that you’d discovered a different way of triggering it that I hadn’t been aware of (plus I’d hoped that one had been solved permanently after the last few times it had been reported - always a frustration to see it sneak its way back in a couple of updates later…)

I honestly know you do not want to hear this, but that stage pushes her in to the roof collision box.
That poor thrall has the option of burying herself in the stage or poking her head out the roof.

Now I’m going to leave it at that because… stuff.

Hey Deacon.

I have used this stage since I started using stages; and I have ran many a run through the game, hence my bafflemeant. The only thing I can think of is the roof is too low, and the animation when she turns clips her arms. Maybe that’s the issue, I don’t like the idea of the two-wall structure… god what I woul’d give for half walls and roofs.

Mmmhhh, I moved her away from the edge of the stage a little bit and relogged. Even though the hands and forearms clip through the ceiling more, this time she was not sunken into the wood structure. Maybe I had her too close to the edge due to the clipping issue, but it’s a bug nonetheless.

Correction: Logged in again and the problem persisted, I guess I’ll have to raise the roof. Aesir tiles are wonky, for example, the Aesir door frames reject the npcs, so they all bunch up at the entrance and none will enter /shrug.

Maybe is the place, there´s no place to dance or even to stay without hit the wall.
Sometimes thralls inside foundations is because of the bad alignment of the first foundation you use, the one you put underneath, sometimes you have to raise it a little, sometimes you have to lower it, it could be because of the map mesh, if you have already built that house, try placing a foundation below the first foundation, sometimes it lets you place it, another thing is to use fence foundation… and the next time that you place the entire foundation base, place slaves on all the foundations and a sleeping bag on top of the base, you connect and disconnect several times, sometimes you see that a slave stays below or you see an effect of coming out of the brick below, then you have to raise or lower the base… it’s a lot of work, but the NPC paths remain free… they don’t get stuck and they use all the paths. At the base below, fence foundation usually come in handy, one foundation and four fence foundation around it, the joints are visible, sometimes it looks nicer… and it withstands the raiders’ bombs better… for the walls, the same, one line of foundations, all the foundations with fence foundation around(1+4), the second line… the same. If they raid you, they’ll destroy your base the same, but at least they have to use more explosives.

Always used the same framework for my cantinas, it has always worked just fine, there is absolutely nothing different in the simple build from the last cantina, and the one before; apparently the issue was she was too close to the edge of the polygon mesh. I moved her inside a little and the problem seems to have stopped, but thanks for the input. Still a bug, nonetheless.

With every update there are stealth changes we are not informed of. Many of these stealth changes include how AI works with the building system, the building system alone, hitboxes, AI alone, etc.,…

Unfortunately I believe we cannot expect continuity.

No, we cannot. Almost feel like shedding tears; this game means the world to me.
