Thralls don’t use the shields you put in their inventory. You can personally equip them, they’ll use, but when out of combat they put their shields away. By next time they aggro their shields will be away. Please make them equip shields if 1h weapon is used.

Yes, I was going to make a new post about this.
I would like to see thralls use shields so that it is a bit harder to fight them. Maybe not all the time, but they should be able to pull up their guard if they have a shield, making it a bit trickier to fight them.

Especially important if you want to have thralls in the open but don’t want people picking them off with bows.
