Instead of making two threads, I will include two questions in one. I have visited for the first time yesterday the King’s Niche and the surrounding area.
First the white tiger bosses. Are those supposed to cause so much damage? I have fought the one near the savannah area before, near the waterfall and he was not so bad, only a large life bar. But the other two near the King’s Niche are devastating. And I have the Champion Arena armor, which took me like two weeks to farm for, and two or three hits from the tiger sent me scrambling for my life. When I fought the savannah one, I had inferior armor and had no such troubles. Is it possible that the same bosses, but in different areas, are stronger than others?
And why are there two of the same world bosses so close to each other? One tiger is on a ledge near his chest, the other just a little walk away from the first, between two cliffs with other orange tigers and cubs. (I never have found the chest for that one, even if the tiger had a chest key when killed)
Likewise, the skeletons in King’s Niche are much stronger than other skeletons I have fought so far. Is that normal?
Now I saw on the internet that there is a boss in there, the Tortured King, but I did not see anyone inside when I beat the skeletons. There is a chest you can only open with a key, so there is supposed to be a boss, no? Does anyone else not have a boss when they go there?
I was able to open it, since I had an extra key from not finding the chest for one of the tiger bosses.
There should be a boss there. Perhaps he glitched thru the floor/wall or something and a server restart would fix it. He’s there on PC so it could also be ps4 specific. As to the white tiger… yeah he hits hard.
These tigers, the corrupted wolf and the Saber mini boss are the bosses that turned my pants yellow and brown in no time. I remember the first time panicking and screaming like a girl with each of these bosses, my armor back then was the heavy encumbrance, so you understand that one hit took 95% of my hp, everything went red in my screen instantly and ofcurce, I died . So avoiding them unless no other way is your best option.
About kings niche boss I am really sad you missed it. I would suggest you to build a small outpost close the mount of the dead so you can visit more often this boss. It is a great deal to enter this room because the formation of the skeletons is making it hard. The agro is massive and they are many, so it’s difficult to cheese this entrance, you have to fight. This boss however is worth the shot, he wields spear so it’s easy to defend and let your thrall crush it . Then if you have an oiled pick you will be granted with the best healing wraps of the game. Any pick will do the job but the oiled is far more rewarding.
I love the difficulty differences, imagine that the Rembrandt boss is a 3h boss and you can take it with wooden shield and stone daggers.
If you build close to the mount of the dead, trust the company of a berserker, so farm some of these girls or boys, you choose. They are very effective in this area you’ll be safer with them .
I will say it once more, knowledge is the greatest power in this game.
If you ever decide to go official online send invitation, I will join you for a safe journey around the map, it is just breathtaking, these people gave done a stunning job.
Hmm…the boss still does not show up. I guess he is glitched.
Yes, I am avoiding those tigers, seeing as their chests do not contain anything that I may not get somewhere else.
So when I am ready to play online, I will send you an invitation. @sestus2009 too, has he has also offered to play with me too.
Is there a build on the land above the rear of the chamber? We’ve seen that block spawns before, such as the giant spider in Skittering, or the Burrow King.
I am beginning to wonder if there is a problem with your savegame.
If you’re willing, would you create another PSN – PlayStation username – and log onto the console with it*? When you play CE under this ID, it will create its own new save, allowing you to check these things out administratively.
* If you’re playing the Digital (discless) Edition this needs to be your Master Console, if you have more than one. In this configuration, all players can access the digital games on it. If you’re disc-based, you should have no problem playing with your new Alternate (Alt) ID.
Wait, does this mean I would have to start a whole new game, or will I be able to access my current one? And it just creates a new “main” settings save?
Just for diagnostic purposes I’d use the Alt to check and see. I don’t know if I’ve seen this answered, but what version is your game?
Each PSN logged onto the machine gets its own Game.DB, so what you’re doing is basically starting a new game as a whole new identity. This should keep your current Alhambra savegames safe and tidy.
Later today I’m checking to see if there’s any sort of integrity application that can be run for the PS4. On the PC, we can prune and “re-sort” some data and fix a few of these sorts of issues with the Game.DB. I’m testing to see whether cloud saves give me a chance to export | repair | import.
If there’s no solution for cleaning up a DB
If you determine it to be something unique to your main savegame, IF you can live with the “flaws,” then by all means keep your current save with your current character.
When I initially started playing, I was exclusively offline, usually with a friend in co-op. There were some issues with the save game data, and I had to wipe it. We moved to a server, and discovered way more than what was available offline, due to the data issue.
Oh, my version is the disc version, day one edition, with the free Conan sword. I do know that you can go in safe mode on the PS4 and fix up some things this way, but I think this is just really issues with the console, rather than games and saves. I have had to do it for friend list not loading and such.
It cannot hurt to attempt a new account and see if it has the same problems. I mean there seems to be too many problems with my game that nobody else has. If anything, all my Conan saves are on a USB key plus the cloud thing, so I am not worried about those.
And no, I would really not rather play with these flaws. Bosses not appearing, things not being fixed, and having super truncheons, those are three things I mainly need to check when I do the new account. Among other things haha.
Good, I don’t like to be the Sherpa of bad news. Are you updated to the latest revision, 2.8.x?
I don’t think any low-level indexing tools on the PlayStation (safe mode) are going to help, but they will probably be worth a try. Unfortunately, on my lunch break I was unable to do anything with the saved files as it’s still all proprietary. The rules of the Console, eh?
At the very least, with Cloud Saves and USB you won’t lose anything if you do try your reindexing via safe mode. I am still very interested to see if a new save is clean, though.
I will certainly try the database rebuild in safe mode first, but aye I highly doubt this will do anything. Or, if my save is super messed up it might remove it as corrupted, but I do not think I would even be able to use it if it was.
And yes, both my console and Conan game are updated to the latest update/patch
Well okay, rebuilding database did nothing, buuuut I reset my server settings to default, and that has fixed my truncheon issue. My thralls and I can no longer deplete monster or animal stamina bars, only for the people, and it takes a while, just like before. I spent my evening game time testing it on tons of things.
And my fool self was killed by the scorpion…well, he was due his revenge.
Other things have been fixed/broken though…for a while I was not able to damage my thrall in combat. Now I can. But which of the two is normal? The Tortured King boss still does not appear. What, has he transformed into a second white tiger or what haha
I apologize for the double posting, I am merely not wanting to make threads for every little question.
this happened to me…start climbing the pillars in that room with the chest and bingo…he’ll meet you when you jump down.
%100, every time…after that point, if you leave that room he won’t follow, but the other guards won’t stop at the doorway anymore …they will keep their aggro" on you till they’re put down.
