Players may sometimes experience a corrupted preferences file issue that can result in text turning black and difficult to read. If you this issue occurs then please follow these instructions to repair your files:
- Navigate to your installation folder, then go to Data -> Gui -> Default
- Locate the files named TextColors.bxml and TextColors.xml, then delete them
- Disable any antivirus or firewall software you may have running
- Run PatcherSetup.exe (located in your installation folder) as an administrator
