Where did my barkeeps go?

I logged in today after the update and all of my barkeeps are gone. Where did my barkeeps go?

Probably not tested. Only normal bench thralls were tested. Appearently.

Conan freed them when you weren’t looking.

They got a Conan Union and decided the pay was bad so they all left.

I think so, my bench thrall is laying down in a bed like he unionized. Just glad there wasn’t a thrall uprizing. They have me outnumbered badly and know where I sleep.

You can always interact to your bed and disable thrall use. Dennis promise it in a topic not a month ago that he will try to do something about it and he kept his promise.
About you barkeepers, time to slay, just put a gold coin in a coffer, make a route with 2 oil cauldrons and spend 20 gas arrows. The bar keepers however now in cages wear fiber clothing, but they still beg for releasing so it’s easy to understand who they are, have fun fellow exile :metal:.

But the barkeeps were regular placeable thralls even before age of heroes…Makes no sense for them to vanish…

of course it is easy to get new ones, but still it is unacceptable that they just vanish, as you also nneed a functioning tavern for the Freya quest.
We lost 8 BArkeeps

same here, all mine are gone from my many bars . all the purges wasted .

It’s not a loss it’s time to slay :laughing:. Get out there and dry out the stygian blood :metal:.
I lost about 20 in all the servers i participate, so i will slay for a week, huzah!!!

good luck getting a purge started, i tried 60 times and they don’t find a camp location at 2 different spots, that worked fine before

I tried 5 times, one in official and 4 in a private server and they all worked just fine.
I am sorry @lanier67 your getting hard time, i really am buddy!

Uh oh, thanks for the update but hope mine work when I log back on. I also hope they didn’t nerf the insta-leveling with the golems now that I will have some level 0 bench thralls.

Btw, we tested and thralls hold the door open for about 3 mississippi’s and a player can walk through the open door. It would be a boring way to get into someone’s base but it is viable. Our PvP bases tend to have multiple doors so they would land in our foyer and have to wait again.

The barkeeper bench has no inventory slots. They said that all thralls will be put inside the inventory of their respective benches.

So instead of adding like 5 inventory slots to the barkeeper bench and placing them there, the NPCs just vanished because they had nowhere to go.

It is a loss, friend, because my 2 tavern keepers were equipped.

Yes, I can replace them. But it’s not the point. It is pretty substantial for a patch to gut our people and materials like that.

Personally - I had well-colored outfits on them that I will now have to re-figure / recreate. I did not have the pieces and colors documented. I didn’t realize that I would NEED TO.

I would like to understand why this happened. And it would be nice to have some communication from Funcom on the topic.

@den @AndyB @Community - where did our tavernkeepers go? How can we be sure that we won’t loose future tavernkeepers?

@lanier67 I was able to get some purges started. I was able to start purges level 5 an below. Level 6 and higher purges would not start for me. Same error message you had.

I also noted that 12 purges at level 5 only got us a combined 2 barkeeps (about 4 less than I would have expected).

The tavernkeepers were a special case, I dont know why they were treated as if they were crafters when they were not. They were never IN a slot, as they were not crafters. They were literally combat thralls that could follow us around. Unless you count the standing slot which is like treating a chair as a crafting bench? Strange.

This is what I meant pre-update when I talked about us being unable to test an existing base being transitioned to AoH. This sort of thing exactly. Its a completely different thing to test things starting from scratch. There should be a way to allow us transporting our existing stuff to test server.
