Unfortunately, youâve missed the relevant bit of the big announcement text that has been widely publicised here, across social media, on the game launcher, on the menu page of the game itself. The servers have not vanished - they have been updated to UE5. But Epic Store and Microsfot Store PC (and consoles) do not receive the update. They remain able to play on UE4, but not on UE5. That means that players on those platforms lose access to the âofficialâ servers. Those platofrms can still play on private servers (that are running UE4/Legacy) or in singleplayer/coop. If (hopefully âwhenâ, but that is not a certainty) the UE5 update is made available for other platforms, then they will be able to rejoin âofficialâ servers.
Relevant bit from the announcement:
"What platforms will the update be released on?
This upgrade will be available to all current and future owners of Conan Exiles on Steam starting May 5th.
Will the update be released on other platforms and console?
While there are no current plans, we are considering bringing the update to Epic Games Store, MS store, Xbox and PlayStation platforms later.
How will I be able to access the update?
If you already own Conan Exiles on Steam, it will be updated to Conan Exiles Enhanced on May 5th. The UE4 version will remain available to those who want to play it. Players will be able to find it by locating Conan Exiles Enhanced in their Steam libraries, opening the Properties, and selecting âConan Exiles Legacyâ in the âGame Versions & Betasâ tab.
Will there be continued support on the Conan Exiles UE4 version?
The UE4 version will remain available on consoles (Xbox, PlayStation), as the Enhanced update is currently for PC (Steam) only. Consoles will receive necessary updates to address critical bugs and will still have access to official UE4 servers and the Bazaar, but will not receive any new major content updates. PC players (including Epic Games Store and MS store) who want to continue playing the UE4 version can do so by switching to Conan Exiles Legacy, but this version will not receive additional updates, support, access to the Bazaar, or official servers.
Note: Crom Coins will no longer be valid on the UE4 (Conan Exiles Legacy) PC versions (Steam, Epic Games Store, MS store) once Conan Exiles Enhanced goes live as the Bazaar will be disabled on PC in Conan Exiles Legacy. However, Crom Coins will carry over for Steam players who wish to continue their journey in Conan Exiles Enhanced. If you plan to continue to play on the UE4 Conan Legacy version we recommend spending your currency before May 5 when Conan Exiles Enhanced launches.
Developing both versions in parallel isnât an option due to divergence in code and assets as well as the development resources necessary to do so.
Note: If players choose to continue playing in UE4 with Conan Exiles Legacy, they can do so in single player or on a private server."
