I don’t know if this is an “error” in the game’s initial programming when they made the NPC generation system, or if there is any other explanation, but beards exist in the game, we can choose various beard styles and apply to the playable character , which leads to the curious question, whether beards exist because they are not applied to game NPCs?
The NPCs are very few varied and repetitive, this small change would already help a LOT, it would help a lot, our slaves don’t look so alike, which is quite annoying, it’s just an adjustment in the programming in the NPC generator to use all the configurable items, as it is and random beards, those already in the game.

You are not the only member of the forum to notice tjhoban. I first reported this bug back in January. However still no fix as of yet.
It is possible that Funcom has simply forgot about this one, but I would be more inclined to say thay it is just not a high priority as far as fixes go at the moment. But I am happy to ask @Hugo if there is any news regarding it.
As I said, it is a curious fact to HAVE BEARS IN THE GAME, if it did not exist I would think it was a technical problem in creating beards, which would also make no sense.
But it is very “strange” that all slaves are clean-shaven in barbaric times.
This is so “strange” that it seems like a mistake, and as I said there is a small variation of NPCs, male slaves all have literally the same body, this would be a way for the game to further diversify the look of male slaves without having to implant anything new to the game, just use what you already have, the beards, maybe even “improve” the beards since they were made in 2016 and we are in 2020 the technology of hair and hair has evolved a lot.
The lack of facial hair among Exiled men is disturbing indeed. The lack of hairy feet on Exiled women is considerably less disturbing. They are not, and should not be, hobbits.
