Why we must every time half a stack?

*** Stacksize: When i need one piece from a stack, then i must so long half the stack to become it!
Why we can’t enter a number of pieces to take them out of a stack?

hold shift and drag the item from the chest to your inventory or v.v, then you will see a window like this where you can type the amount:
