Wild Surge markers don't disappear once closed

Sometimes, when a wild surge is successfully closed, the marker does not leave the overland map.

Please provide a step-by-step process of how the bug can be reproduced. The more details you provide us with the easier it will be for us to find and fix the bug:

  1. Enable maelstrom and allow wild surges to spawn
  2. Open overland map (M) and observe wild surge locations
  3. Take thralls and close wild surges
  4. Open overland map and check if surge marker has disappeared (occurs intermittently)
  5. If surge marker has not disappeared, log out and log in; reopen map and observe marker is still present.
  6. Test surge marker disappearance across server reboots as well.

This must be some kind of client-side issue, but it begins to clutter up the overland map quickly.

I’m not sure if this is related, but I just fought in a Maelstrom and after it ended, I see only the 4 actual current wild surges.

I just tested this on a private dedicated server with no mods and could not replicate it. I’m admin, but not owner.

I warped to a wild surge, killed as they dropped and when done, it closed the portal. The map marker immediately disappeared.

Are you modded?

We are extensively modded, but the wild surge markers persisted even across reboots. However, completing a maelstrom entry and finish cycle cleared the old markers and it hasn’t recurred. So, unsure of what to determine for precise repro now.
