1516, 1517 take 20 minutes to load doors and teleport pads so I’ll come here to let you know at Funcom while I wait. It is partly because I am on the west coast and they are east, but back before 10 Cents and the server merges there was no lag at all. Now 1516 and 1517 are almost unplayable due to lag, certainly any PvP is completely broken now.
Now that you have set the decay timers to 168 hours that will be twice a week at least. Exiles takes a long time anyway, why do I have to wait 30 minutes for the server to load?
Are you playing pvec? I know this problem only from pvec. And 20 minutes is a good time for my server. Yesterday I waited more then an hour.
Finally I was able to refresh my base and outpost before the server don’t let anyone in because of never ending loading screen.
I am curious if this is happing on non pvec servers now.
Yes they are PvE-C servers on the east of US. I also play on a West Coast PvE-C server and there is no major lag in base loading. I had to re-start there just to continue playing Exiled Lands. I played on 1516 for 17 months without even a whisper of lag, then 10 Cents bought Funcom and they merged a lot of servers. That’s when the ridiculous Lag started. Today I waited on 1516 for over 30 minutes for Doors and Elevators to load. They never loaded. Never! Conan Exiles is unplayable without doors.
And like I say PvP on the PvE-C servers is never possible. It’s like all the players and thralls become Gumby and zip around the map on one foot. (good ol’ Gumby!) And the place they appear is where you can be certain they are not. rofl!
Really Funcom, move the doors, teleports, and elevators higher up in the load order until you can fix this lag. You might need more bandwidth for PvE-C servers than the other server types require.
I don’t know why it’s 8nly pvec. I could understand if it’s not on pvp because of different building strategies but pve and pvec should have the same.
The next step is that you could not login anymore drew hours after server restart.
Yesterday my time to load the doors was more than one hour. I’ve done that in the morning just to refresh my base because after 3 pm the loading screen stands forever
That may be an unsatisfactory suggestion, but I’ve come to terms with it personally:
If I continue my current game on PvEC server #1040, I always allow for ten minutes “loading time”. That means: I start the game and when I’m logged into the server and have clicked away the message of the day, I wait at least five to ten minutes until everything is completely uploaded. Always a good opportunity to make coffee or wash my dirty dishes by hand.
Maybe you can somehow come to terms with this solution.
(And although there are probably significantly fewer building structures in general on the official server I’m currently playing on, the loading times have somehow stayed the same. It may also be due to the fact that my own base - in which I usually always start the game - is very big and decorated with some placeables.)
