Bug Description:
Emote Not Found. 2-year old bug… Once the NPC is waiting to be killed, the user can’t equip any weapons. Can only attack with fists and kicks which don’t work.
Bug Reproduction:
Any NPC waiting for Glory Kill. Deselect weapon (usually accidentally). NPC/character bugged until some kind of timeout
Is this in dungeons only? It sounds like you’re talking about fatalities.
If it is about fatalities in dungeons, then it may be mod related. I had problems with this bug for a while, but when I tested without mods the bug didn’t occur. But I’ve had fatalities turned off in my game for a long time anyway, so maybe it is also now happening without mods.
@RasterOps Are you running any mods when this problem happens, or are you running without?
Yes it’s about Fatalities. And IIRC the error occurs anywhere. The last one was Szeth, so a dungeon.
Also, No mods…
I’ve tried multiple times and I can’t reproduce this bug, sorry. (Tried in singleplayer, with no mods) I was able to get Szeth into a fatality state multiple times, put my weapon away, pull it back out and perform the fatality. I was also able to perform fatalities on several other human enemies. (I did on one run against Szeth manage to bug my character out so that it couldn’t sprint or perform any attacks at all until I sheathed the weapon and drew it again - no idea how that one happened, couldn’t reporduce it again either…) Seems like this is one of those weird intermittent bugs that is hard to reproduce.
Best I can suggest, while you are waiting for Funcom to respond, is maybe just switch fatalities off in your settings? (It’s near the bottom of the ‘Combat’ tab in settings). Otherwise, if you want to keep them on, just try not to sheathe your weapon while they are in a fatality state…
Well, I was guessing about how to reproduce it. Assuming it was bc I had no weapon. I see this bug a lot. So I thought I was just being clumsy. Although, every time I have seen the bug I had no weapon equipped.
