I had a long-winded post where I suggested similar equipping mechanics to simplify the implementation. You’d use a spell item a fixed amount of times, then it’d “break”, necessitating gathering the “reagents” necessary to start casting it again (same as repairing). Each use would also require a certain level of corruption or it simply wouldn’t work. Greater sorcery benches would allow you to “prepare” spells with more charges.
Not married to the idea, just wanted to give FC some material to kick the can with.
No fireballs, blasting, or lightning bolts though! NO NO NO. This ain’t WoW!
Also in retrospect, would rather not have cooldowns on the spells/witchcraft/sorcery either.
