A Breakthrough In Fuel Efficiency, Bug Or Intended Change..!?

I happened upon this during my last game session. Offline Singleplayer mode, ps4. While crafting on my Improved Firebowl Cauldron, I noticed that it no longer had a fuel consumption bar (burn time), and that it was not consuming its fuel source; in this case Coal.

Can anyone tell me if this is an intended change or a bug…?

Seems like a feature. Both caldrons do not require fuel to operate.

It has been this way in both the standard and improved cauldrons for a couple of months now.

Yeah, if this is a bug, it’s been with us for quite a while now. Not that that necessarily rules it out as such, but in this case it seems intentional. Probably because they’re shoving some very long-running processes (like Necromancy) into the cauldrons.

It’s intended, not a bug. You don’t need fuel anymore for the firebowl cauldron.

I had no idea. Am I that unobservant…!? It is kind of strange considering that it is Firebowl Cauldron. So what fuels the fire…love?? No look in all seriousness, I dont really mind either way if it requires fuel or not. Now I have ×200 spare units of Coal on my hands. But thankyou all for clearing this up for me Oduda, @UznikSvobody, @Mikey and @TwoJay.

It is an intentional change. Specifically mentioned in the patch notes for PC 2 March 2019 and for PS4 on 18 March 2019 under the QOL improvements … the 24th item down the list of QOL improvements.

Happy to be of help.

You can use your spare coal in the furnace and the stove. 200 units aren’t that much, only two stacks.

I love this feature. I now have crates of reaper poison. Its a beautiful thing
