Acheronian tools are bugged (star metal ore)

Hello there,

I wanted to report this problem, confirmed from more people on our PvE-C server. A person said he got no star metal ore, while harvesting it with acheronian pick and pickaxe. Both of the tools had advanced tool upgrade on it.

Tried it myself with both blackblood pick and acheronian pick, for the case it should be because of the new update. Nope, with the acheronian tools the star metal node looks like you are harvesting it and eventually breaks down, like you harvested it. But no materials shown, none got from the node.

Just heads up for the devs, maybe other people could try this, so it’s really valid from more people from the community. :slight_smile:

I can confirm the same thing. I thought I was doing something wrong, I had an acheronian pick and hit different 3 nodes none of them gave any resources after being destroyed.

Apparently, from responses to other threads on this, the acheronian pick got demoted to tier 3. You need tier 4 and above for star metal.

Yes, got to know this few days ago, when I read the notes abyout chapter 2. So from now only star metal, blackblood and obsidian tools?

Hardened steel is supposed to work as well. I haven’t gotten around to trying it out for myself yet.

I’ve been mining several star metal meteors with hardened steel all week. PC, single-player, no mods that should affect tool operation.
