Add conflicting object hilight when overlapping during placement

When placing an object, like a wheel of pain, many times it won’t allow placement and complain it is ‘overlapping with another object’. many times, i have no idea how it could be overlapping.

right now i’m trying to place a wheel of pain on a 5x7 area of arena block and it won’t place. why? i have no idea. it’s perfectly flat and more than enough room.

highlighting the problematic object(s) would be VERY helpful.
