In my game, completing difficult dungeons grants me gold, silver, gems, and treasure. In the combat arena, you can purchase standard gladiator gear to participate in PvE with gold and silver. PvP doesnât require this rule. Thereâs also a stand that sells potions and other buff foods.
A bit of mystery: eliminating the Order of the Valkyries in the arena as a side quest. The next level is a snowy arena with rampaging Vikings. Well, if I even eliminated the final boss of the arena. You donât need level 60 to participate. The arena is designed for quick leveling and a good time. Glory and experience are your reward.

Iâd like to see Valkyries riding white horses. When they kill their mount, the real battle begins. Or theyâre thrown from their horses to fight for real.

Hey @Will1 long time no see, nice to have you around again little brother
. Although i really enjoy your fantasy and creativity, you have to understand that this particular game has boundaries from a particular lore.
I am not aware of the lore, but maybe @LostBrythunian could tell us here is something like Valkyries or anything similar existed in the lore and how they are named .

Hello, friend! In Conanâs lore, there were no Valkyries, I think. But this is not the first time modders have addressed this topic. There was a big mod where Valkyrie camps were added to the Exiled Lands map, special creatures with wings. They had a lot of HP, had their own weapons, armor⊠and the character could be leveled up to level 600, I think. Now this mod is deactivated.

Not that this one is aware of, at least not in the Howard writings.
Once Marvel got a hold of it, well, pretty much anything goes as Conan was one of the Savage Avengers, but perhaps that is a bit outside the scope of this game?
That said, mounted enemies would have been an interesting idea.

Hello, thanks for the welcome and for helping me understand. The Order of the Vakyries in my game is an organization of women who claim to be Valkyries but arenât, along with a table. There are also other organizations like the Invictus Mercenary League. Everyone in the arena. The Valkyries are actually mercenaries with terrifying wealth and damage. Theyâre just a title to sow fear and confusion.

There were no Valkyries in Hyboria. Why the anachronism? I donât understand.

Aside from Freya referring to herself as âThe Valkyrieâ during her final companion quest. Though there was actually just Atali, Ymirâs Daughter iirc.

Itâs amusing where things are borrowed from for the Hyborian Age.
The Frost Giantâs Daughter being an excellent example.
Ymir is very much a thing in the Hyborian Age.
Yet by the Age of the Asgard, Ymir is reduced to the past tense, the slain Giantâs skull used to fashion the vault for the sky.
What is a Valkyrie?
One of Odinâs handmaidens, sent to select fallen warriorâs for the liarâs army at Ragnarok.
But the term most formally translates to chooser of the slain. That is general enough that it could be co-opted easily⊠And with the aesthetic⊠similarities between the the Nordheimers to Norse stereotypes, and particularly the naming of the Aesir and Vanir, tribes of humanity, rather than gods in Hyborian Age, that whole mytho-pre-history trait could kick in.
A gang of riders, warrior women who slaughter and enslave for a one eyed king of unparalleled cruelty and pragmatism who dirties himself with dark magics all in the name of some âgreater goodâ, or more likely, protecting his hegemony, especially in a war against Frost Giants, could very easily fit as pseudo inspirational material for Odin and Valhalla.
The more this one mulls over it, the more it fits.

Itâs @Will1 creative way to play the game and he is sharing it. The reason i love our little brother is because he holds a stick and gives different dimensions to it, not staying in the box if youâre getting me. Itâs really sad that new children and young ones afraid to go out of the box or getting out only with hacks and exploits
.
I find his creativity amusing and inspiring in many cases through the years. He is an artist and he may fall to anachronism, true, but he is young and talented.

Well, I donât like to follow the same path. for me itâs just a game.

The guyâs entire way of playing is anachronistic. One character self-referred to as âthe Valkyrieâ is not a tribe or faction with multiple Valkyries. There were no valkyrieS (plural) in Hyboria. There is a difference between creativity and anachronism.

There is a difference between creativity and anachronism. They are not synonymous.

A guy comes to the forums to share his joy from the game and most comments he gets are about how the way he plays isnât lore friendly. Wow.

Never said they are. All i said is that art has used anachronism a lot but not always successful.
Nailed it
.
Itâs a crime to use your own imagination in a fiction story, noooo you canât do that
.
Peace brothers
