Altar not placed

Game mode: [Online | Singleplayer]
Problem: [Crash | Bug | Performance | Misc]
Region: Europe, Highlands

Placing an Altar of Ymir. Clicked at spot (no red cross) and it doesnot pop up. Altar is also removed from hotbar and not in inventory.

Steps on how to reproduce issue:

  1. second try with a new altar on or near same spot it popped up.

i had this happen repeatedly with a mitra altar on the terrain. i went back and put down foundations first and then it would place properly.

Myself lost only a fishtrap by this bug.
A friend of mine had lost a whole wheel Of Patience t2.

We both placed them down without foundation and a slightly lowered position.

If there anything on the ground, even if you can’t see it, like a stone or a branch, the item will not place and it will vanish. Since release you can’t place anything on things like stone etc cause the game will not allow it, part of the game. To solve this always place things on top of foundations if you don’t want to loose items.
