Problem: Altars vanish instantly after placing

I learned Derketo’s Pleasure Place and Derketo’s Pleasure Dome before building one of them. Now I am trying to place down a newly build Derketo’s Pleasure Place, but I just can’t do it. The second I place it down it vanishes from my inventory but doesn’t show up where I placed it. I can place other things in the same place afterward. Relogging doesn’t bring back the vanished Altar either. It isn’t appearing placed outside, nor in my inventory. I tried building and placing several times, but it’s always the same.
