Arcane stuff doesn’t work at all

Bug Description:

The arcane staff doesn’t work. The runes don’t appear when hitting the cast spell button.

Bug Reproduction:

I went to gather star metal and on my way back to my house the game froze. I restarted the game and when I logged i was back up to the snow area. I was south of the sinkhole when the game froze. I lost all my weapons, food, resources, everything except for the staff. Now the staff doesn’t work. I hit the cast spell button and the runes don’t even appear . It does nothing. I deleted the game and reinstalled it hoping it would fix it but it didn’t. Is there anything I can do?

Is that the original PS4 or is it the PRO version? I gave up on the original PS4, but the pro version still works.

It’s the original. It’s the first time it has froze on me. It does get laggy at times but I wouldn’t say it’s unplayable. Everything else on the game works except the staff. Well other than Ana the reaver not following orders but that might be a woman thing

I think the next patch is in six days, if I have the dates correct.

It freezes on me every time I look at a box inventory. It tries to cache the images, but it still freezes while it does that.

Sounds mean, but I wouldn’t mind if Funcom optimizes out the older PS4 in favor of the PS5, PS5PRO, and PS4PRO.
