Anyone else having issues with this? I just tried it on an old map room build I had near dagon’s eye. Both @Marylambs and I were removing some arena fences to gain access to an area where we could put some flowers. It kept only giving back a small portion of the materials, like how it use to be before all materials were refunded. I didn’t try this on other pieces, but I noticed it wasn’t doing it with any other build sets. I removed some khitan ceiling tiles and some nemedian awnings and they were able to be replaced easily. Only the arena fences were having an issue. Just curious if this is an issue with others before reporting it as a bug.
Maybe they wasn’t full of their hp and need to be repaired? Just an idea I don’t really know if you don’t get everything back if it’s not at 100% of its hp. I think it should be so because else it’s an exploit to replace instead of repair things.
Last days I was at my siptah base and replaced and also removed arena vaulted ceilings and I get all materials back. But they were defenitly at 100% hp
I don’t think that’s the issue. However, I know that fences do have a tendency to somehow degrade the moment you place them. It’s often why you couldn’t pick them up moments after placing them, prior to the build hammer. I may go back and look. If that’s the case, it’s pretty dumb, since nothing goes in there and it would be due to whatever causes them to degrade. That being said, I’ve picked up and replaced things many times without a hitch. I don’t know why it would matter now.
Fences take damage the moment it damages anyone climbing them, like palisade.
Not necessarily true. I’ve had them take damage without touching them.

So no matter the method i used to dismantle nothing changed, i took exactly what i gave.
But…
I placed again the fence out and i placed one fence in
Out the fence can be harmed from the environment, but in my cabin no. So i will dismantle both tomorrow and let you know.

So, i left the server to restart and see if they are affected from server restarts…
In cabin
Outside the cabin a lured a salamander to hit the fence but as you see it took no damage which is absolutely normal
But beware, because it’s working properly to me, this doesn’t mean that’s working properly to everyone! So if you happen to stumble in this bug again try to take a photo and report it on Zendesk too. It ain’t “new” for players to experience unique bugs. Thank you for reporting it!
Thanks for the follow up. I’ll keep tabs on it. I usually have tons of materials on me and rarely go back to modify old builds. It could have somehow gotten damaged. Or perhaps another bug. I’ll check next time what the condition is before pulling a piece.
