Hey @Hansel, I actually like the Living Settlements system. It was one of the most requested features for years, people were tired of thralls just standing around like statues. Yeah, it’s rough right now. Thralls pathing through walls, randomly opening doors, and dying outside the base is annoying. It definitely needs more work.
But the bigger stuff isn’t all done yet. The multiplayer backend is still a major problem. Server stability, rubberbanding, and performance on officials need a serious overhaul first, something like the Dynamic Micro-Gridding / cluster system I suggested earlier. That should be a top priority.
Once they fix the foundation properly, then they can go back and properly improve Living Settlements and the other systems. They’ve pulled off big things before (UE5 and map linking), so I still have hope they can do it again.
Crafting thralls in combat was also a requested feature. It’s not perfect, but it’s better than ghost crafters standing at stations forever. Just my take.
