Auto Switch Next Journey (Not Working)

Under Settings / Gameplay / at the bottom of the page is a setting called "Auto Switch Next Journey. I checked the box expecting it to choose the next journey for me but it did not. I was not going in order in the journey system so maybe it didn’t know where to go next. I selected it while on the Alchemist journey and completed it, Then I selected PotionMaker and completed it. Both times on completion I was left to make my own choice on what journey to take next.
