The amount of resources to create the foundation is the same. In the case of other buildings, it is different.

  1. For crafting a square foundation of black ice, you need:
    4 x Inculated Wood + 3 x Steel Reinforcement + 5 x Black Ice;
  2. For crafting a black ice wooden wedge foundation, you need the same amount:
    4 x Inculated Wood + 3 x Steel Reinforcement + 5 x Black Ice;

I believe that for triangular foundations it is necessary to reduce the amount of resources.
For example: 2 x Inculated Wood + 2 x Steel Reinforcement + 5 x Black Ice;

This is implemented for Yamatai buildings (example in the screenshot):

  1. Square: 15 x Hardened Brick + 4 x Shaped Wood + 3 x Steel Reinforcement;
  2. Triangular: 8 x Hardened Brick + 2 x Shaped Wood + 2 x Steel Reinforcement;

This is logical, because they are different in volume.

black ice is already waaaaay cheaper to make than other mats, NO it doesnt need changed if anything it needs to cost more

As you can see, it is absolutely the same for secondary resources. Black Ice has limited use, only in cold regions, even in asgard it is already hot in such a house. Well, you can also increase the amount of black ice to 15 to equalize it with others, although there is no point in this. But secondary resources should be reduced, as it is in all materials.
In addition, other materials are much more beautiful and this justifies their price.

The question is that a triangular foundation costs the same as a square one. On the example of the Yamatai foundation, this is clearly seen.
Therefore, for a triangular foundation is to reduce the amount of secondary resources.
