This is a major patch also marking 20th year of Bebot’s existence !
For both games:
PHP 8.2/8.3 supports have both been prepared and extensively tested
Docker (win/nux) is now supported & documented with a dedicated config repository
improvements across mysql, irc/discord, raid, recruit, admins, mail, ts & defreeze
For AO only:
loot disclaimer added ; items & its cidb updated ; sm, taraviza & orgs improved
Thanks to the beta team for helping/testing, congrats to all that participated Bebot since 2004.
Still amazed Bebot is going strong after all these years. It’s been a core part of our org’s coordination in Anarchy Online—raids, member tracking, loot distribution, everything. Huge thanks to the devs keeping it updated. The modular design makes it super easy to customize. If you’re running a serious org and not using Bebot, you’re missing out on a huge advantage.
The team got smaller over the years but we’re still like 5 active members (2 from AoC, 2 from AO plus some outside helper e.g. for recent Docker support addition).
Bebot surely ain’t the most fancy but it stood solid and we do our best to keep it up both downward and upward in PHP/SQL compatibility and 24/7 clouding utility.
Also it benefits of our real scale testing as it’s used for several orgs and for a public raidbot in RK5, all connected with both IRC and Discord networks.
The documentation has been maintained upto this day with all noticeable changes available via bebot.link forums (that is a migration of the historical shadowrealm’s).
