Last night, I stumbled upon the entrance to a dungeon behind the bar in Sepermaru where Conan hangs out. The horrors I saw and the treasures I plundered will accompany me forever…
The atmosphere, the ambience, the pace, the loot, the layout, the final boss… just wow. I did not expect to be in there for over an hour when I went through that cellar door, but I enjoyed every minute of it. By the end, my supplies were low, my thrall was out of food, and the final boss almost defeated us. I literally screamed out loud a couple times during the boss fight and when I emerged victorious, I stood up, cheered, and clapped my hands.
Well done and thank you for a thrilling experience!
I remember Thag himself disappointed me - a grotesque horned bodybuilder . But the gas burners and blue skeletons make the final battle the hardest in the game.
It is a tough dungeon. What makes it tough you apparently didn’t had the bad luck to experience. I am very happy for you, you managed to stay alive.
The worst bosses in this cellar are the skeleton bosses, not the final boss. The one with the hammer use to one shot me sometimes, and the one with the khari 2handed sword. A bit the mist, a bit the lags, makes this dungeon really dangerous. I have more than 200 rounds in this dungeon grinding for the pristine weapons or the recipes in different servers. If you want to do a favor to your self try to learn this dungeon without lights. If you die you spawn naked in the beginning of this dungeon making your loot recovery extremely difficult. Not to mention that the latest you die the most possible the first stages of this dungeon to respawn making loot recovery mission impossible.
There for, next time you will go to this dungeon make sure that you have a chest with replacement and a lvl 20 berserker ready to go in your base. If you die, do not respawn to the dungeon, respawn to your bed, equip very fast your replacement, pick the lvl 20 berserker and run back to the dungeon. If you play official you have a timer until you loose your loot. So this is a really vital chance to recover your loot. The day that we die in khari dungeon, we recover our loot and go back. Loosing temper is a bad guide in places like that.
Be wise and follow example, or gamble, your choice
The first time I went in and saw that raving drunk, I went “nope” and turned around. No thank you. I know what happens when you put five plugs of Firewater in me.
@Barnes
Unfortunately in this dungeon I cheated, so I lost the enthusiasm of @TenJumpChump. I first watched the video of Kaiah and Firespark, I played it some rounds on God mode to have some knowledge about it and then I went online official to do it. When this dungeon arrived, we still had the old dodge system, so making the final boss naked was your best option. This was my first and last dungeon I play it this way. On Siptah I took no video advises, so every single vault was special and beautiful. I am really happy for @TenJumpChump he experienced this dungeon, not knowing the dangers, but still avoiding them and finally killed the final boss unhurmed and without the “exiting bug” this dungeon had, which would made this wonderful experience in to nightmare.
Yet my Best dungeon will always remain the warmakers. This is the number 1 for me.
When I first went in I didn’t even know God mode existed. I went in with a group of friends I’ve been playing, writing, and creating with for almost 25 years now. We were all in the city and found the entrance by accident. We were there to see how many kills we could get by running through the streets and aggro’ing everyone then kiting them into a cluster and flattening them all (a bit of a revenge carnage for them steeling all our stuff the last time we went) - so we were somewhat equipped for a battle. I think we all died at least once, but you have the option of respawning in dungeon. That was a blast… every time someone died they came running back to us with 20 respawned enemies in tow and it was hack & slash for 15min. Fun times!
It’s near impossible to do solo unless you have the items and experience from thousands of hours of play. Or, yeah, God mode. Not sure I would wanna even try it solo… Maybe if the game controls were more accurate and fluid…
@TeleTesselator
Define solo? Solo, solo, without a thrall? In this option it’s a suicide mission, but not impossible.
Solo with a thrall is a good dungeon yet you have to play with patience, control the agros and heal a lot. The loot is rich, so after lvl 60 doing this dungeon once every day you’ll fill your chests with all the goodies you can imagine. What I fear in this dungeon is lags only, nothing else. Either the 2h sword or the hammer can be blocked, but some argosean dream dust is useful in there, so you can grab your shield from time to time. And… Your predatory can help you more than you can imagine in there . Plus…
If you do this dungeon barbaric mode, prepare for agony, but it’s awesome.
Yes, I mean by yourself. Solo. No thralls or pets. Although it would be pretty tough with a T2 fighter or something like a Bear too. The other end of that is of course an 8K HP well armored thrall could solo it himself and the player could just watch. The thrall would only need to eat and regain their health before moving on to the next boss.
Yeah, pretty much in most if not all the threads where I use the term “solo” I also mean without a thrall. [ehhh… case by case…]
Thralls are great for the game and empower those not willing to learn the minutia of CE’s combat system or for like me who just kinda suck at anything besides Quake III Arena (#4 player world wide for 6 consecutive months at the game’s peak - YEAH!!! ), but they can also be used to turn the game into a sim and remove just about all the aspects of challenge in CE too.
You know this dungeon ain’t a Saint. It is not so easy as stepping back and watch your thrall doing the job. This might be in some cases of this dungeon. I remember feeling so arrogant with my 15k Dalinsia so I let her behind and walk forward. After awhile I realize that my thrall wasn’t following. She was hitted constantly by 6 skeletons and she couldn’t react. So I jumped in to save her, she left with 2k hp.
Ofcurce these bugs do not exist anymore, but the multiple agro is making it extremely dangerous.
As for total solo this dungeon, the only thing I can say Is that you don’t need mambo jumbo, all you need is time. It will take you at least one more hour to kill them all by your self, but eventually you will. But if you die… , the show begins .
Last time I went, if you fall you loose nothing, you just respawn, so feel free to do the jump from now on. Unless… They change it back, so first try it on sp .
Sorry no. If you have the right thrall, some healing arrows, and the right food for the thrall you can do the dungeon completely unarmed.
Point your mouse here and press E
Point you mouse there and press E
At the right time double tap EE
Point at that enemy and pres E
Run back a bit to avoid damage.
Fire off a healing arrow or two.
Goto 1.
I think one needs a different combat system all together. Character movement and control is currently very poor in CE and not at all well suited to fights you meet in that dungeon.
I would venture to claim that’s true with the lion’s share of bosses, dungeons, and delves in this game. The combat system is such that it requires a thrall - like, as part of your equipment. Weapon, Armor, Healing Items, Thrall (err, and bedroll for people like me when those aren’t always enough).
I will stick to impossible is nothing, but it needs time and the correct equipment. But most of it time. The game provides you everything so you can defeat every single opponent alone, it either provide you clever corners (cheese) or techniques to use alternative ways to defeat something. But your loss here is more than you gain. Either in time or rare farming items. Thralls in this game, above all stabilize the economy. You don’t have to repair anything on them, they can wield weapon you just can’t, their hp pool is huge so they can mindlessly participate in a fight, and all your cost finishing this dungeon is 100 gruel plates . If you want to do it alone, specter potions, legendary repairs, healing potions, buff potions, armor repairs, shield repairs… and the list go on…
About @TeleTesselator opinion is correct, but we on consoles still have invisible mobs, rendering issues… the list goes on here too.
Once, I was able to go inside there, full encumbrance build, only one perk in strength, over encumbered, do the dungeon quik with a God thrall, gain all the loot and exit like a gentleman. Now the problems in consoles are… many, so I envy you m8 .
@Marcospt
I won’t get to this discussion again There Are No Consoles Available . 4 months still waiting…
I envy you m8, have fun, cross fingers next month I will have mine… Hopefully
