It’s a known issue. At least I assume that "Body Vanishing After Death’ refers to this. The issue status is ‘Ongoing Fixes’.
Nasty bug, as you lose all your gear despite making the obligatory trek back to where you died, even if only in hope. Awful if you’ve just spent ages farming something, or are on the way back home full of precious loot after an epic adventure. Wouldn’t want it to strike while transporting a bunch of named thralls to a new base…
I’ve reported it too. The more they hear of it from players and the more details we can give, the better as far as I’m concerned.
If it’s any consolation, it’s only happened to me once so far, though I’ve only been playing a couple of weeks.
