He was nerfed a long time ago, along with tigers and other cats… he is now very weak with other dogs. Weaker than a wild hyena.

Yes, the ice giant that drops from Ladagara is not bad. He doesn’t hit too hard, but levels in vitality very well.
Currently, the Giant Alpha Snake from the Battlepass is the strongest pet. But I am discovering weaknesses to it. Weapons with long reach, and large AOE attacks, as well as being surrounded by Humans can put a hurting on a Giant Alpha Snake.
Yeah, the wolf pets seem to be somewhat OK with damage. I have an elite undead dog, and it does a decent damage.
Are you sure? Because I remember using Brutus as DPS while having a bearer T3 as a tank when farming the last battle pass season. He really bit a DECENT CHUNK of the health of any enemy, even the vault ones.
But now there is NO visible IMPACT on enemy HP bars. Brutus has become utterly useless.
I may confuse the last season with the one before but I really think it wasn’t that long ago.
And I am not talking about low damage but about like 0-5 damage from a level 20 Brutus…
I measured it myself, at level zero Brute does about 12-14 damage to a wild hyena. This is very little. The white wolf gives an order of magnitude more.
They nerfed it at least a year and a half ago.
Unfortunately, this one stopped using non-humanoid pets as anything other than decoration after the big beast nerf, so this one cannot speak on if Brutus snuck past the first round of hatred for animals and the current pathetic state is more recent than other rendering irrelevants.
Condolences if you had invested heavily and liked having the grown up playful pup.
The absolute pillars of erudition that make such decisions noted that the best of beasts are far too easy to acquire to ever be as good as the extremely rare and almost impossible to obtain Cimmerian Berserker.
Not that followers have much relevance except in the purge anyway.

And there they exist to make the Purge harder, with more enemies in the waves based on how many living armor stands your base has.
But don’t forget that followers can carry heavy stuff for you. Especially good on Siptah with more limited teleportation options.
Pets have a serious drawback: it is impossible to set the chase distance for them… They always have it at their maximum.
Therefore, if you have archers defending your base, you cannot field pets with them: as soon as the archers see the target at a distance of 50 meters and get ready, the pets immediately rush there and begin to attack, which can end fatally for them.
