[BUG] Animations on stairs

Since last patch, when ever I walk up / down stairs my character stay in an surprising state in wich he float in the air and squeeze… I mean my screen squeez and my character levitate all the process of stairs.
And sometimes he also can go throw walls, when walls are near stairs.

Steps on how to reproduce issue:

  1. Log in
  2. Take stairs
  3. Watch your character levitate and not touch stair a single time
  4. Sometimes my character go throw walls

this meens stairs or some walls are ghosted.
At my experience, a server-restart correct often this problem, or a relog of your part. It’s a rendering issue.

Why would I want to restart my server when I’m the only one having this issue.
Sometimes my mates have this kind of struggle with animations but it’s never all of us at the same time. It’s client side I think.

that’s your descision after all…

For my part i restart my server twice a day anyway.
But by experience it’s mostly what will correct the bug when it occurs, sometimes a simple relog may help.

I restart the server once per day.
And I also think you don’t understand what is client side or server side. If stairs animation bugs was server side, every users would have the problem on the same stairs at same time; and it’s not the case.

Maybe my english is not good enough to make me understand.

Are you restarting your server at any time you encounter a bug ?

i understand very well your problem, it’s just my experience.

Had similar issues on different servers, and mostly a relog of my part, or when the server restarted the problem was gone. It’s a connection problem mostly between you and your server. That’s also why others may or may not experience the same problem at the same time.

I’m not here to explain how exactly this will happen, just giving you a trick to solve your problem.

And my first language isn’t english nor, so no trouble, just i try just to help you with a ingame problem :wink:

Thanks for the advise, but in any case this animations appear on will of the developpers team. So it’s a bug, I report it on the official forum as claimed by the community manager.

I will not reboot my game each time I run through an animation bug, I’m going to loose 5 minutes each time of loading. And same for the server, players will be disapointed.

In any case I appreciate your answers.
