Hi, A clan’s base is not decaying. Two of us were the only ones on the server (The clan in question were not on at all) and the decay timer of the building kept resetting and going back up to 480 while we looked at it with the hammer. I have found other bases with the same issue. It is on a PVE-C official server.
PS. I never stated that they were cheating, but I am trying to bring the problem to light so that maybe something can be done about it.
Decay timers are just broken for both thralls and buildings on some servers.
I can refresh anyone’s base on the PVE server I’m on and having spent over a month with a thrall I don’t own and built around, I can attest to the bug.
Its may be simmiliar but often in pve servers when i runing between my bases and check neighbors, they bases always have 479h when i ckeck but often only i am alone.
Seen the same thing happening on a pve-c siptah server last week, was only myself on the server and the base i was looking at kept refreshing its self even tried walking out of render range and returning still same.
It isn’t a hack, when I checked the bases of two friends on the official server with my hammer, in case I needed to warn them during the holidays, both bases updated to full 480 hours, convenient in this case, but not as intended. We are not in the same clan.
I know about explosive jars, its not them this time. The issue I am talking about happens to bases randomly not when you place an explosive on them. Thanks though.
24 hrs in red decay state and then it vanishes but ONLY if someone renders it. This means that player built structures can potentially remain on a server for years. I’ve found some very old bases from scouting on servers; they insta-pop of course, bags are raining. The reason I am mentioning this is because structures will not disappear on their own.
What you’re explaining isn’t the problem. This isn’t that 0 decay bug.
What is happening is that any player can refresh a base or thrall.
So the decay timers are on but are not properly tied to the owners.
