Bug Description:
The option to perform a blood rite ritual on the sacrificial table is greyed out when the player is encumbered. If this is only for extreme encumbrance like with full encumbrance builds I am not sure. I was only able to perform the ritual once I had removed my bracelet and tried the ritual with only spell book and wand in my inventory.
Bug Reproduction:
I was over encumbered, I knocked a thrall out. Built a sacrificial table, placed the thrall on the bench and was unable to click the craft button to make the Blood rite. When clicking on the Boold rite ritual Icon on the bench the on screen “over encumbered message” would appear everytime I clicked the ritual
It’s not a bug… that’s how ALL sorcery stations work and it’s intentional.
You get a very quick error message in the center of the screen when you open the station though that you’re overencumbered and the buttons get disabled.
Well something that doesn’t make sense to you or I, might make perfect sense to the developers
There’s been “rumors” that this is done in order to prevent you getting stuck in an overly slow animation, since all of these stations will animate your character and make them walk to a specific spot and perform actions etc. though I’m not sure that’s the reason…
At least in that case they would’ve made an exception for characters having the beast of burden perk… but there isn’t such exception…
Either way, I’m 100% sure it’s not a bug and it’s intentional since I’ve seen the code for it.
There is no way NOT preventing you from using sorcery benches when overburden with or without beast of burden perk, gives you an unfair advantage. its not OP and it just makes life miserable because the developers chose a lazy solution to movement speed during sorcery bench animations
